GAME

I usually work on tills serving customers throughout the day however sometimes I will be on the shop floor sorting out games and making it look tidy for the customers to look at. I have learned how to operate a till with more confidence. The management are very friendly and listen to me or help me out when it is required of them. My co-workers are also friendly and we help each other out if any of us get stuck and I can talk to them easily as we can relate to many things. The hardest part of my job is getting console care as not many people see the pros to getting it. The most enjoyable part of my job is getting to talk to the customers and help them out with any problems they have as I always like to make every customer happy and make them feel welcome so they come back again.

Every day at work felt very productive, positive and enjoyable! I learnt that you CAN enjoy work, it doesn't have to be something you do for the paycheck! The management was very friendly and helpful and i instantly felt like part of the team even though i was only on a temporary contract. The most difficult part of the job was dealing with difficult customers but that was easily overshadowed by all the positives! I am a very passionate gamer and i felt so at home in the store that working there came very naturally to me. LOVED. IT.

I know other people have had worse experiences, however, other than standard workplace annoyances that you get anywhere, I enjoyed most of my time at Game. 

Generally all the staff and managers are friendly and treat each other with respect. The pay wasn’t great but there are other benefits like discounts of games and sometimes even free games. 

Sometimes it could be a bit boring and repetitive, and at Xmas it was insanely busy, but this is standard in retail.

I enjoy every day working at game, every day is different and you get to meet loyts of fllow minded people who enjoy games and also people who are just learning bout games. The management and co-workers are all great and friendly too, never once have I felt out of place or isolated from anything because I am a "newbie"

People and customers are great, some days if it's not busy can get very boring especially if there's not much to do. KPI's can be very harsh to work towards with that being all the company is bothered about. Pay is not very good considering the stress you can come under from upper management.

I worked the Christmas season 2016-2017 with Game and enjoyed my time there, the hours given were not always the best but I enjoyed my work and interacting with the customers. The job allowed me to better learn hand selling skills and helped to better my confidence.

I chose to do my work experience here because I like games and I am into console gaming once I got to know everyone I started to enjoy my time working I worked at game for a week and the staff were very polite and supportive

Fun work environment, though upper management are making very questionable choices that are seemingly alienating the core consumer base and staff. Example, more toys than games, no preowned, dropping membership plans.

No doubt GAME is one of the most successful organisations working with street sports and culture. It's a great organisation from the inside out. The culture is relaxed and it's a main focus that everyone enjoys being there.

Very fun work place, manager was lovely.
Rewards for staff for promoting sales.
Only issue was the store it's self was freezing but they give you free hoodies so you can't complain to much .
