Gentec is a company that has proven ability to thrive in any type of macroeconomic environment. I was able to onboard quickly through the kindness and support of the organization as a whole, and implement suggestions and improvements without pushback from leadership. The workplace culture has shifted from work hard to work smart which has enabled greater work life balance and flexibility. The hardest part of the job is balancing the many directions and priorities of the various departments, however this is offset by gratitude and appreciation when you are able to successfully deliver a project tied to business value.

This has got to be the worst place to work!  The President/Owner does not care about any of the employees and will use every tactic to make sure they feel like a lower class citizen and a person who invaluable and weak.  This is a family run company and the only people that will ever come first are those who have the same last name.  The mental and emotional abuse is by far the worst thing that can ever happen to someone especially in a work environment.

This company suffers from a lot of internal politics, old ideologies and gender bias. The remaining staff that actually work hard, are unappreciated, underpaid, overworked and stretched far to thin. The CEO expects all staff to come into the building during this pandemic, even though remote work and shifting people is a much safer option.

Very old school mentality. Never get ahead no matter how much you work. Bonus each year was less and less and salary never changes. People who work there have been there for 30 years and new comers do not last. Only people that get far are family members only. Dead end place with no future. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Quitting.  Poor pay, horrible management, turn over rate of employees is crazy.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management.  No direction, working with individuals who's first language isn't English.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Horrible.  High turn over rate, due to nepotism.

Absolutely nothing! Horrible company to work for.

The people  that work there are horrible.  One lady in particular.   Very rude

Very judgmental,  work environment is OK.. but people always watching

One of the best company to work for.  Everyone is treated like a family. The culture is very nice and help is alway there when you need.  I consider anyone who is looking to work for this company will be making a good decision. 

Super nice people, great location and a supportive environment. A bit old school so new ideas and process are always welcome. Work/Life balance is great so there's always room for the family.

Gentec was extremely well organized and efficient. I always knew what I was meant to do and when I needed help or clarification I always got what I was looking for.

The business is not very structured.  New ideas are not welcome.  Very old fashioned culture.  Privately owned with family members very involved in the business.
