Review of Geotis Logistics (Oshawa, Ontario)

My experience working at Geotis Logistics was extremely disappointing. The company suffers from poor management, lack of communication, and disorganization at every level. Promises made during hiring were not kept, schedules were inconsistent, and employees were often expected to take on extra work without fair compensation or appreciation. The leadership seemed untrained in handling workplace issues, creating a stressful environment where morale was constantly low. Equipment and vehicles were often in poor condition, and safety standards felt like an afterthought. There was no real sense of teamwork or support—just pressure to meet unrealistic expectations with minimal resources. Overall, it felt like a company that prioritizes profits over people. I would not recommend Geotis Logistics to anyone looking for a stable or respectful workplace.

My daily work focused on a Monthly cycle of Audit scheduling, evaluating and reporting of the Logistics Service Providers (LSP) warehouses and processes. Generating reports, analyzing data, looking for developing trends to maintain the key point indicators of the LSP’s. Ensure all identified issues have action plans while creating the Monthly Operational Reports for Local Couriers and Operational Volumes.
Co-workers were a very dedicated, highly motivated group of talented individuals that as a team had a great deal of experience and customer awareness able to maintain a high customer satisfaction.
Traveling across Canada while Auditing the LSP's and meeting with our clients was not only enjoyable but provided a unique perspective of the whole supply chain operation.

Working here has been an incredible experience. The environment is positive, motivating, and genuinely supportive. Team members are respectful, approachable, and always ready to help each other. Management communicates openly and values everyone’s input, which makes you feel heard and appreciated. The workplace culture promotes both professional growth and personal balance — there’s always encouragement to learn, improve, and take on new challenges. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, yet focused on achieving great results. It’s a place where hard work is recognized and teamwork truly matters. I’ve learned a lot from my colleagues, and the leadership sets a great example by maintaining transparency and trust. Overall, it’s a great organization that values people as much as performance. I’m proud to be part of such a collaborative and positive work environment.

It would probably be a better place to work if you are permanent. I was hired on as a seasonal Material Handler for the Oshawa North location. Some of the other workers are nice but then there's the ones that act like know it all's and boss you around. The workplace felt very cliquish, isolating, exhausting, and dull. There's nowhere to sit When it's not busy so you are just standing on hard concrete floor for 10 hours bored. When it came time for the peak week to start, everything felt very disorganized especially when it came to packing. Found it hard to keep my productivity up when I didn't have everything I needed to do my job properly so I would have to go looking for these things. It ended up being more stress than worth it for how little they pay. My anxiety is alot better now that the season is done. Won't ever go back.

Working at Geodis has shown me that neither HR or management care about their employees. Management is horrible and contradicts themselves and each other. HR does nothing when issues are brought forward. They say it is an open door policy but only management can get into the area where the HR offices are. The work is easy but no opportunity for growth within the company even though they promote it. Not a lot of heavy lifting or brain power needed. Warehouse is temperature controlled for the most part. Lots of favouritism (some people can do whatever they want whereas others are punished)

Good Training, Excellent Safety Equipment, Co-operative Supervisors. Friendly Atmosphere

There was no stressful part I found during my tenure with Geodis.

Geodis like any other employer here in Canada only values you if the business is up and running. The moment the numbers are falling, you are out the door. 

Company is trying to improve and bring in more business but maintaining the same staff level as a result leaving employees over worked. This results in build up of frustration and error rates which indirectly leading to loss of profitability and disgruntle clients.

Management is operating from old school values and needs to get out of the 1980's.  Very negative environment.  Hired for one job, given a different one.  Pay raises don't even keep up with the inflation rate.  Upper management leaves early or don't show up at all, I guess taking advantage of the fact that their superiors are off site and none of the staff dares to call them on it.  Very irresponsible. Managers leave staff holding the bag for all their mistakes.

Management at Geodis Canada is way bow par. Managers are not knowledgeable and very poor in working along with teams. A local company works more efficiently than this for sure. They wont care about you at all and not worth wasting anytime here if somone wants to really progress in their career.
