Since the CRA and GHD merged in 2015, it has been a constant struggle to try and adopt consistent processes and procedures in offices throughout North America. Departments have begun to standardize these process nation-wide, however this has resulted in major changes being made last minute with very little communication. Staff have done a good job at trying to adjust on the fly and correct issues that were not considered before changes were made.

Overall there are varying Management principals. I was fortunate enough to have a great Manager that took into consideration to my suggestions for new processes alongwith my concerns about issues that would arise with the changes being made. He was more than a Manager, but had become a friend even after I have left the company. 

Our department motto was "Work Hard, Play Hard". There were definitely times when all hands were on deck, however other times we could let loose and goof around with each other. Known for liking our food, our department always had the best treats brought in. It was a great place to work with lots of work-life balance options available.

The company was "merged" with Conestoga-Rovers & Associates from Waterloo and acquired many of the local offices in North America.  The original work culture and services offerings were very employee driven, however the new culture of GHD is top heavy, mainly driven by current flowing markets.

The social life of the company has many perks as do many bigger companies.  Lots of outings, activities, and health promotions to maintain healthy living and lifestyles.

The office is great, co-workers were very friendly. They value work-life balance and I actually looked forward to going to work every day. They paid well and I would 100% work for them again! 

great location, great office and huge space to choose. IT support is great and great access to a powerful computer and various software. Flexible hours.

Big company with great job culture, the working environment is great and co-worker. the most enjoyable part of the job is you will get many opportunity to learn different thing of the industry.

Very Collaborative work environment. Seniors always guide you when needed. Overall work-life balance is good. This was my first job after graduation and I learned and enhance my ability because of my seniors.

Great place to work to gain valuable work experience in all levels on construction. Travelling all across the Ottawa Valley you get to discover some beautiful places and met lots of new people.

Really relaxed work environment with plenty of opportunities to assist on projects and learn more. The team I worked with was extremely helpful and willing to teach me. Definitely a good place to work after graduation.
