> Very busy workplace, had to interact with various departments within the company on a daily basis..learned some server side troubleshooting..

> Management is quite blunt, incompetent and cheap. They won't even supply as much as a power bar. They do not follow professional business practices like the implementation of ITIL and it's usage/terminology within the company and also how communication needs to be *professionally maintained with employees. A few members of the management CURSE and SWEAR pretty much everyday in the office!!!

> They don't have exhaust fans in the washrooms?? WTF?

> Really did enjoy working and exchanging information with employees from various departments 

> Heard a lot of SCARY stories from COLLECTORS working in the company. The management pressures them to collect funds from customers and they call and harass customers!  One customer got so mad, that he came to the company to even up with the collector that was harassing him.  And one day, I witnessed a  Collector literally FAINT near the locker room. They had to call 911.. 

> Even their HR department is a bunch of moody and incompetent bunch. Even after my repeated communication with them they did not follow up correctly with all the correspondence requested like documents, paperwork etc.  

As per the above, Global should seriously consider relocating themselves to a 3rd world country...

Would have to call multiple clients and collect a certain amount of debt they owe. Was given files to work on and collect off by the end of the month. Learnt how to deal with customers how to converse and make the call personal and not sound like a robot. Management was strict and made sure no one was slacking. Nice co workers, friendly and always willing to help. Hardest part of the job was to collect off people who literally had no money and can only pay off a certain amount each month and rude customers. Most enjoyable part was helping people clear debts and give them a calm peace in their mind.

Many people were nice and many people were not nice (hierarchy). Too much politics was playing around especially with staff. Over 1000 people worked in the building. 250 people were support (including me) and the rest were debt collectors. This company turnover rate is high. You don't know whether you're going to be there the next day or not. I was the only person to worked in shipping/receiving doing such work as; groceries to stacks of paper boxes. A year after being there, I was laid off. They had told me my job was sent to Panama city even though my job was quite physical.

a typical day at work is papering to call customer with different problems every time. learned how to use and multitask more then 1 to 3 application on a single call and still maintain the call under 5 minutes, and also give customers the pros and cons about not paying their bills and helping the recover their credit history. co-workers and colleagues are friendly and helpful, the hardest part of the job is being patient with frustrated and irate customers who just want to vent. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting the satisfaction of helping and making the customer understand and resolve their problems.

Global Credit and Collections is a wonderful place to be employed at. The management staff are great people. the day starts off with organizing our workstation and reviewing our client list. after all of that is in order we set off to the phones where we make inbound and outbound call and deal with customers. i have learned many skill from Global, including  how to handle stressful and irritate customers. this position has taught me a lot on how to deal with customers.

-being on time getting straight to the job on the phones making callings, long hours
-learned how to get people to pay even when they didn't think this was important
-management was always there when you needed them and kept things in order
-coworkers were great always ready to get the job done or go out as a team
-getting clients to pay even when they thought this wasn't important
-hitting my quota

Great bunch of co-workers and higher management.
Work hard/play hard attitude.

A much varied bunch of team level managers and supervisors. with many levels of cohetion and employee relations.

This company provided incentives for continued motivation to achieve maximum results.  The working environment was constantly under pressure and was based on individual contributions from every employee

Started here in 2010 worked my way up , learned Collections here great people to work for. One of the best placed to start off because its one of the largest collection agencies in north america.

Bit stressful and some managers are way too strict and act like a high school teacher. This position is work from home , which is a plus but the environment is toxic and everyone just care about their own incentives.
