What is the best part of working at the company?
Great family atmospgere with competent ci workers throughout the company.  Fair pay  benifits for those under 65, union, fair contract great equipment and travel

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Timing, got to do you best to stay on time.  Equipment is well cared for so thats not a problem.  Most situations are welcome challenges so stress is what you allow it to control.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family run and family atmosphere 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrive at bus around 6 a.m.  pre trip and ready the bus.  Arrive at first stop where you usually pick up a tour guide and head on out on you day or multi day travels.  Often eat lunch at z nice resturang with thd group or if parking doesnt allow you to stay the resturant will provide a nice bag lunch

Although the equipment is mostly late model and in excellent condition, there is very little work/life balance. 
 You are not recognized for exceptional work, as put to me by senior management, “all I care about is having a butt in the seat”.
 The drivers are union and the weak and lesser employees are protected, meaning there is little incentive to go the extra mile. The pay package is average and benefits are also average. 
 Opportunities to travel are interesting, but do not balance with the fact that you will work every weekend. Which ultimately led to my decision to leave. 
 The dispatch area is somewhat disorganized and you are expected to execute your duties with little information about the client. 

scheduling drivers and assigning equipment and planning 30 days in advance. Learned alot about geography and transportation as a whole. Management goal oriented and focused and growing with the industry. My co workers are very driven and all have a humorous side. Very comfortable atmosphere to work in. Hardest part would be meeting customer expectations. the enjoyable part of my day is the ability to work with others who are focused on the same goal and moving forward revising each others visions and putting a service out there at high standard and quality

I have worked in several industries for many different companies and this is the first company which has allowed me to gain and maintain work  life balance.  As a single parent they have supported me with a flexible schedule.  For a company this size to maintain their "family" values is amazing.
I enjoy the environment, everyone is friendly and very positive.  There are always opportunities for growth or to expand your knowledge.  The level of professionalism and insight of the Ownership team makes Great Canadian a terrific place to work.

From the first day at Great Canadian everyone was welcoming and supportive. There is a team culture where everyone works towards exceeding customer expectations. Having a health care plan in the Motorcoach industry is rare, the program here is excellent. The coaches are immaculately clean and well maintained. The coach operations staff (schedulers)  go above and beyond to support the drivers. The pride and vision driving the company is evident in the ownership group who are very active in the operations  overall an outstanding culture to work in.

What is the best part of working at the company?
People are ok and no pushed to work hard. Never see a boss that hassles you, pay is good if you have some skills or union.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Time is an issue so get it done. If a bus breaks expect to work late.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A bit cluttered but shop is organized.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy every day, not much time to think about how to dog the hours away.

Stay away, equipment breaking down all the time, never get the things you ask for and when you do it takes months to get it, always have to clean up after somebody weather in shop or lunchroom or bathroom. lunch room and bathroom are always disgusting. The consensus there  for everyone is it not my job,  i heard that quite a few times.  They refuse to hear any feedback about what could be improved on organizing of work. If you like being blamed for something you didn't do then this is the job for you

Great Canadian has a great work atmosphere, and fun and dedicated team of employees that are passionate about travel and tourism. The workplace is a fun and rewarding atmosphere. The operations team is great to work with and regularly check's in to see how you are doing. Any problems that arise are usually quick to deal with.

Great culture with excellent communication.  Upper management is excellent,  as is the owner, and most drivers are friendly and helpful. Nice, new busses and continuously updating the fleet. Love the uniforms and overall professionalism. Not a 9-5 job, so if you're seeking weekends off, look elsewhere. Work is full days, sometimes overnight or away from home for weeks at a time. Must love interaction with people. 

If you enjoy long hours on the road with no social/family life then this job is for you. 

However, I found management here does not respect you, expects you to be an absolutely perfect driver. They don't understand that after 1000s of hours on the road mistakes do happen.
