This is the worst job I have ever had. The customers are terrible, the management was terrible, and even when I had an active complaint of verbal abuse from a coworker, the management didn't do anything or care because "that's just how she is". There is a very obvious click-y culture that happens, and if you aren't friends with someone in a higher position than yourself, there is no chance that you will get "promoted". Mind you, promotions don't come with a pay raise, and the pay is only minimum wage, so there's also no reason why someone should want to get promoted. The hours are terrible, the pay is terrible, and the only redeeming thing it had was the co-workers. Because the friends you make there are going to be friends for life.

The hours can be long but the outgoing atmosphere helps keep you up. Working at the casino allowed me to engage with a diverse population, it taught me to be aware and mindful of others cultures and beliefs. The staff and "regulars" (patrons) were easy to work and get along with.  It was a great way to meet new people and socialize.

I very much enjoyed my career with The Great Northern Casino!  Every day was different, I loved the diversity, the loved the fast pace.  My employers were excellent to me, as were my coworkers.!  I learned a lot about the industry and a lot about people.!

My position was one of a security nature.I was responsible for
maintaining security on the floor of the casino,Chequing IDs
and greeting customers.
I was also responsible for operation of the 112 camera system and 
recording any criminal activity.

I worked here for many years and the people i worked with were amazing but if your not a night person then you should chose something else its a fast paced environment one second and very slow the next

Money is ok if you’ve worked there for years. No room for advancement. Management treats you like a number, give out petty write ups like candy. Only tell you the bad you do, never a “good job”. The customer service is low, kitchen doesn’t work with servers what’s so ever.

Hard worker, co-workers were always amazed at my efficiency in dealing with problems - hardest part of the job was dealing with management

Good money but long hours and the servers are not very inviting to new girls. They also make you pay for walk outs, which is illegal. Fast pace work good to learn serving.

Terrible pay, toxic environment, managers are rude. No room for advancement and treat you like your a number. Dont ever have an opinion or you'll be talked to or talked behind your back
