- days are long however it provides great satisfaction and enjoyment through seeing the development and nurturing of children 

- learned how to organize and set activities/goals for various age groups (ages 6~14)

- met a variety of individuals throughout different parts of Toronto/GTA

- hardest part of the job is trying to encourage a child(s) to participate in an activity he/she were not fond of

- most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the growth and mental development of the children

Working at Green Acres was probably the most rewarding job I've had thus far. As the hockey supervisor, I was responsible for organizing 3 hours of fun hockey games, drills and activities for 10 - 30 children. This job taught me a lot about patience and how to communicate with children. I also took away a lot of organizational skills that will help me in the future.

The daily activities were fun and well balanced. 
This environment made it easy to keep the children motivated and on task.

My summers at Green Acres was extremely rewarding.I was put in positions where my leadership, motivation and team building skills would flourish. I also got to learn new things about myself helping all kinds of unique children and meeting their parents.

children can be stressful but not bad overall. pay is the biggest downside. Most days are okay but every once in a while the children will stop listening. Pay attention and think of strategies to address each child in their own way and you should be fine.

As a camper at green acres my next choice was to become staff in their arts and crafts.My responsibilities were to help plan arts and crafts activities and help assist campers with following up with them.

Challenging in a positive place to work. I loved the people I got to work with and had a lot of fun doing my job. It was an incredibly supportive environment that I was happy to be a part of.

I loved working here and was asked to go back but they do not pay nearly enough. It is fun, the kids are amazing, you get to participate in the activities and make friends while getting paid, but it is not worth it.

A great fun job as a camp counsellor but the pay is low. Very low. I was hired as a camp counsellor at Green Acres. It was great except the pay was low and it was hot outdoor summer.  Great coworkers. 

Had lots of fun the people were great to work with, staff events were fun. If you are looking to make money thought this isn’t the time place the pay is really bad under minimum wage.
