Seemed like the only thing they cared about was runs going out and coming in on time. Safety on the job felt like an afterthought. When dealing with potentially lethal consequences it needed to be a way larger concern. Training was absolutely minimal as well. For someone who is trusted to carry a firearm and potentially use lethal force Training should be constant and evolving not 3 days of firearms training with 1 day a year on the range to re certify. Wouldn't go back here without massive changes. You're life isn't worth 25 an hour. Work culture is amazing though that's why they get an extra star. Some of the best people you will ever meet or have the pleasure of working with on the crews. Just a shame management didn't seem to care.

I started my dedicated career in 1998 with Loomis Armoured Car, then selling to Securicor, who became G4S Cash Services, then becoming G4S Cash Solutions, now known as GardaWorld Cash Services Canada Corporation, well.... it was quite the journey. I have seen many things in my day. My personal contributions helped transform the branch from zero to hero. I am very proud of my years of service. I really enjoyed interacting with customers/clients, gaining long standing friendships/relationships. Most of all I learned values, integrity, honour, pride while keeping my crews and public safe. The hardest part was, years of practicing de escalating tactics, avoiding high conflict situations.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There's nothing good about working there, especially the lady that does scheduling.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being on call for up to 3+ years with casual part-time. It's just delivering money with a gun. Very boring and the trucks are absolutely trash. Unsafe and should be taken off the road

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Union company, and it sucks when you're casual part-time you're nothing and have Zero rights.... 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up deliver money is a garbage vehicle and go home eventually whenever you're done maybe 7 hours, maybe 14 hours later who knows

What is the best part of working at the company?
Not much is good about this company.  Unsafe trucks, unsafe practices and zero job security 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with your messed up pay cheque.  I will say that I have never had a company do payroll so inaccurately.  I have yet to have an accurate pay cheque from that place

Very very very poor morale.  Routing is horrible

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We all spend the whole shift racing to finish just so we can go home and not have to deal with such a garbage place.  They don’t call it GarbageWorld for nothing

Typical day at work consist of operating an armored truck transporting monies from one financial institute to another. I learned how to protect myself from harms way if ever occured. Highly enjoyed working and conducting conversation with my supervisors. Having worked with a great diversity of persons from nation to nation I learned a lot about their cultures. Hardest part of being an armed guard was being concerned if danger would occur in certain areas. Most enjoyable times was going home safe after a long shift. Due to the nature of the business there was zero tolerence for clowning around.

I was warned about working here but the wage was ok so I accepted the job anyway. They look professional on paper and online but once you see the shops, equipment and vehicles, you start to realize things don't line up. 

Awful management, no proper training and unrealistic expectations. It's a 1-2 star company rated globally. 100,000 people can't be wrong. 

I can't post here but research their lawsuits, customer losses and what to expect in the next few years.

I am happy working with my teams in harmony.

The most stressful part about working is meeting the deadlines with not enough people.

The work environment and culture is like sisters and brothers working like a family. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The typical day for me at the company is problem solving skills, time management skills and communication skills.

I worked for G4S Cash Services from November 2005 to November 2013. At that time, Garda World Cash took over the operation.
My job involved coordinating  troubleshooting crews that had to go all over Canada to repair ATM bank machines.
I learned a lot about teamwork and how to deal with pressing deadlines.
The hardest part of the job was to work in the evening and weekends.The most enjoyable part was my colleagues who were very creative and hardworking individuals.

The work would be fine, but the poor manager at the branch level is very bad. The poor management has the employees upsets and creates a very bad environment and people dont even want to come into work. When dealing with management its there way or the highway and they lie to you all the time and have no knowledge of the work being done. Typical skills of normal management are not present here its run poorly and no communication.

Once you are in good luck, there are so many people that you don’t even know to who you should report the ambiance is toxic, depressing an during my time I have not met one person happy to work there you will learn very early that you don’t count for much you are replaceable as easily as a trash bag in a garbage bin.
