Gas Bar

A good balance of fast paced, and lull time at the pumps; 
Learned to prioritize when really busy, giving prompt and fair service for first come served; and offer the 'extras' oil check; window wash.
Safety was always a priority.
Management was fair and accommodated my shift requests.
The hardest part of the job was the harsh weather, winter; rain; heat.
Coworkers worked as a team which made work more enjoyable.
The best part of my job was knowing that I provided the best customer service to my ability, and seeing the satisfied customers.

This was a full time position in Northern Ontario and had I not been relocating to the Toronto area I would not have left it.  My responsibilities were many from maintaining supply of gas to completing gas exception forms and designating boat slips and parking for a major tourist area.  I was constantly interacting with customers and suppliers.  The hours were long and sometimes weather conditions were not the best but all in all my years there were very enjoyable.

Working at the gas station provided my various tasks to accomplish. I would help with putting stock away from an order that was delivered, helping out the gas jocks pump gas and clean windows, to doing cash out at the end of the night. Every task gained me experience to grow as a person and respect every person that walked through the door.

Ive learned a lot about working with customers in that day to day life. Learned how to properly turn on and turn off valves for the Fuel and gas pumps. It was a great job I've kept it a clean environment made sure of proper clean ups if any spills.

The work itself is fine, but while I was working here I made less than $10 an hour.   There were no benefits and few if any opportunities to advance.  Management was nagging and rude.  Not worth it.

Management was not as bad as i thought it would be the only thing hard was letting people go.
the most enjoyable part was going to work and having something stable in my life

The days can go by  long sometimes but it was usually a good place to work with the staff that i have worked with. But too much people at work when there was also two summer students there

The staff at the gas bar was really good, very helpful and nice. They taught me what I had to learn, and they were very patient, and the people around the community were good as well.

Basic survival job.Meet lots of people. Sometime you did the work of three people, only one person
