Typical day at work (2 1/2 - 3 hours a day) 5 days a week (Monday to Friday):
Travel distance like half a km, walking to my destination of the public school
Signing in at the front desk in the main office
Arrangements of activities, games, sports and toys
Picking up the students, assembling them into a line-up
Washed and dried tables
Tidying up
Organizing equipment, school supplies and tools
Read to the JKS/SKS children's picture books, individually
Doing paper work, coop homework, such as logs, and research papers (e.g. cumulative summative assignment, or questionnaire of the safety and curriculum of the school/classroom)
Prepared, assessed, taking attendance, evaluation of educational, interactive, academic subjected warm-up exercises, apps (applications) on the iPad, and encouraged playtime when it session or appointed by my supervisor.
Coordinated and guided by procedures of certain ways or tactics of doing things demonstrated to show the kids to the best of their ability. 
Also, lead 16 of the mixed kindergarteners to their subject rooms, assemblies or presentations held in the specific/particular gymnasium.
Sang nursery rhymes that they'd repeat afterwards to understand the storyline and language linguistics. 
After school, cleaned up, stacked chairs, and did other assigned errands to be completed.
Packed up and went home.

I learned to explore the ECE department, human growth and development, cognitive skills adapted and started for beginner learners as young preschool human beings. By the way, ECE stands for Early Childhood Educator and learned the education, teaching style(s) for preschoolers and their abilities to adapt to the school environment time after time.

It was well-driven, vigilant, responsible, honour and learned a lot about the behaviours, attitudes of children from my supervisor and how she sets a role-modeling and excellent example of caregiving the children at her hands when teaching the kids a lesson or two chapters for the day in comparison to the older student (kids). But it was also stressful, for me who has no experience with working with preschoolers, especially to put my methods into practice because when i started i had no experience whatsoever, but day by day or week, let's say i learned more about myself, the workplace and the people i worked with and eventually put into play my skills of teaching and mentoring children.

The hardest part of the job is whenever the computer system goes down. Everything has to be done manually. It takes longer to process everything. It delay the customer service. I get along with my management. I enjoy working with some co-workers. I build up friends.

one of the most fun places ive worked, where going to work didnt even seem like work. being able to be creative and share my personal touches on flavors and foods. new recipes and being a part of such a great group of people. The owners by far are some of the nicest people ive met.

I have been working with Gateway since July 2016, it is a great place for new graduate students.
Been a recent graduate I had no experience in accounting and in this office I was exposed to the real work, today I am better prepared for the future position of bookkeeper

No training for the job - learn as you go and get slapped on the wrist for trying your best.
management does not communicate and office staff talks behind backs and undermines work trying to be done.


I was a volu8nteer at Gateway learning Centre, a literacy hub near Georgian bay. It's a good place to volunteer in basic computer skills and literacy, although I found it was rare that I was given a learner to work with.

The company provides a great platform for new employees to learn the job. Fresh students who join the company are greatly benefited by joining this company.

A company thinking ahead of the curve. Unfortunately struggled with the timing of it's launch. Today with the technology and public knowledge of the net, would be a greater success.
