Fulfilling and meaningful job but low pay. 
While the starting rate of $21/hr is more than fair for the first year, beyond that, it does not reflect the realities of today's economy, cost of living, and emotional toll that can come with this type of work. 
A more appropriate ongoing rate would be closer to $25/hr. That increase would help staff keep up with rising living costs while still living modestly. Retention would greatly improve if employees felt their dedication was matched by fair compensation meaning less people needing to be trained over and over after other employees leave.
Overall, Gateway has the potential to be a great place to work knowing we are making a positive impact on grieving pet owners, but adjusting the pay structure would make a world of difference for long term staff commitment.

I worked here for many years. I loved it. We unfortunately had to part ways, but I enjoyed my time with the company. Learned a lot, made good memories, and good friends. It is hard and at times thankless, but it means a lot to the people you do it for. 

It is not a bad job. It can be nasty at times but the management is nice and so are the co workers . It’s also rough working in the extreme temperatures other than that it’s good

OK job deal with customers on a regular basis. Advancement possibilities are available.  Generally Monday to Friday with weekend options.  On call etc.
