Gatsby Valet is a solid company if you’re looking for a job that keeps you moving and interacting with people. The team is friendly, and the managers are usually helpful and easy to talk to. The hours are flexible, which is great for students or anyone needing a part-time gig. The job is pretty fast-paced, and you’ll be on your feet a lot, but it’s not boring. You get to meet a lot of people, and good customer service is really important here.

One downside is working in bad weather since most of the job is outside. It can also get pretty busy and stressful at times, especially during events. There aren’t a ton of chances to move up, but it’s a great place to gain experience. Overall, Gatsby Valet is a good company to work for if you’re reliable, polite, and enjoy staying active.

As a Sub-Contractor for Gatsby Valet, I would be given different event venues by Human Resources to select from each week. I can then select the rate per hour for these events as I see fit.

Event managers are easy to reach and respond with accurate answers for location directions and what to wear. Gatsby Valet does provide vests, jackets, and hats according to weather.

All Gatsby Valet members are courteous and cooperative during each event because they are expected to act in a professional way.

You have to be very careful and concentrated with the vehicles.

Everyone is very friendly and polite at all locations.

Meet and greet guests assist with taking there vehicle to be parked

flexible scheduling, its an easy job esp if you love to drive

you cant get shifts.. they dont value good workers.. you have to beg for work

lots of young immature workers

I learned how to be part of a growing organization, work as a team, and manage a growing base of accounts of large corporations. The most difficult part of the job is handling last minute service requests on a large scale basis. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing such requests have been organized and taken care of accomplished.

I could not attend one of my shifts because of a family emergency and HR put me on a written warning due to not requesting an advanced leave along with "mismanaged" time management. How am I able to do that if it was an emergency? Overall, the company is toxic and does not accommodate/value their employees. 

Long hours (12 hour shifts) no overtime. Kept promising to upgrade our chairs, heater, fans and never actually did. No job security, every year the team somehow gets terminated and they hire a new team. Over staffed or understaffed every day, either you are doing nothing all day or cant even take a break. 

this is a great job to have alongside a more stable job.

the job can get really mundane because it gets slow at some points.

Scheduling and management is very unorganized. Lack of communication through scheduling, management, and HR.

Lack of compensation for company mishaps.

Flexible hours and great people but the management is kind of lacking in terms of discipline. A lot of the events I've worked in tend to be in disarray but the events pull through. Its not made to be a career but its a doable job when you have absolutely nothing at the moment.
