A horrible working environment. The Gees are condescending and manipulative. They hold everything over your head and you will feel like you are constantly walking on eggshells. They will insult you and ridicule you and attack you personally. They send threatening emails to their staff for not making them enough money. They do not respect your personal time and expect you to devote your life to them without properly compensating you. They also don't believe in sick days so basically everyone is scared of getting sick because they know they will have to work through it or face the consequences of calling in sick. There are too many sketchy business practices to even name. Oh and they gift their staff expired products because they're too cheap to give them something they can still make money off of. Working at Gee Beauty really is a nightmare

Toxic and superficial environment. I developed PTSD after this job. Everyone has to speak the same and dress the same. Management took out their anger and insecurities on you. While the owners approved of their behaviour. This job is not worth your mental health which is exactly why people leave! If you didn’t make enough sales you would have to send an email to the owners explaining why. The turn over rate is insane which should let you know. 

In my time at Gee Beauty I felt like a became shell of who I was before. My confidence was completely destroyed by management, which was totally enabled by the owners. The owners react to all matters completely on an emotional level, making any type of conflict impossible to resolve because of the lashing you will receive from them. Please take your value elsewhere, somewhere your hard work will be appreciated. 

Management is always telling they have no money, but the revenue says otherwise. Or they are incredibly greedy (most likely) or they don’t know how to budget. 

Also, they care more about you being overworked than hiring new people (part time exists). And since their clientele has money, you could have done everything right but they value more the lies from rich folks. 

Some of the most fake people you will ever meet in your entire life. Considering their clientele it's not that surprising. High turnover for good reason. Certain people can thrive in this environment but I certainly wasn't one of them.

Culture is very stiff.  Can't use certain phrase like " Hey, how are you?" or " Yes". You have to say " Hi or Hello and 100% for yes - It's like the movie "devil wore Prada".  If you like to be slave than this job is for you.

Upper management is toxic and don’t really think about clients at all. If you don’t meet a target the founder of the company will threat you and send a wide company email. They need to learn we are in a recession, not everyone has means to buy expensive skincare 

Because of the location clients are so entitled and rude. Don't get me started on how awful management is. Pressure to make money and rip off customers.
