Worked there for two month and quit before I lose my sanity 
In the beginning I had interview with two guys who seemed to have been there for a while and they were very respectful and knew of them became my manager but a week after he "quit" with his wife suddenly 
And I ended up with a YOUNG INEXPERIENCED chick with no communication skills , who takes an awful numbers of smoke breaks instead of learning how to operate a forklift and help us 
I'm an army veteran , I was in battlefields when she was home playing with barbie and coloring, I would not accept to be called from far away like a dog 
One of the things she said to me "there is always things to be done you can always grab a broom and start sweeping the trailers" 
I didn't have any training on how they like things to be done so all I was getting is remarks instead of coaching and being yelled at by people who thinks they are managers 
The work schedule always changes depending on their needs without taking In consideration the employees quality of life 
They claim it's a they are like family but all I see is lord's and slaves 
There is supervisor(who used to be a truck driver) who thinks he is an executive so its beneath him to say hello when he passes by employees or just non quebecer employees if you catch my drift 
Stay away from this place if you have an ounce of self respect

This location is awful. They are horribly mismanaged and the management team plays favourites. They promise monthly bonuses and 5 days a week schedule but once hired, there are no monthly bonuses and you are lucky if you get 3 days a week.  They constantly screw up your pay, and classify you as a transport driver instead of courier so they don't have to pay overtime.  They layoff their good workers and jeep drivers who waste time on their routes essentially getting rewarded for laziness and unprofessional conduct.  Their vans for the courier routes are rentals from enterprise. They are poorly maintained.  They are not properly equipped for the winter months with drivers being stuck on a regular basis, stuck on the road for upwards of 2 to 3 hours before someone comes to help them.  The tires do not handle well. Vans sliding all over the road. Getting stuck in places a vehicle really shouldnt get stuck in. Can barely make it up a small incline if there is a light dusting of snow. 
This is an awful company and would not recommend them to anyone. It's only a matter of time before their large account recognizes their inefficiencies and moves on to a more professional and stable courier service. They are truly the worst, absolute very worst, company I have ever worked for. Ever.

If you are looking for a place where the work never stops, GLS Montreal is it. There is a consistent high volume of delivery and pickup tasks; you’ll never find yourself sitting around wondering what to do. Every single day brings a full workload, which is great for those who like to stay busy.
The Challenges
• Management & Organization: There is significant room for improvement at the management level. Operations can feel chaotic, and better leadership would go a long way in streamlining the daily workflow.
• Unpredictable Schedules: Don’t expect a standard 9-to-5. Schedules are never fixed, making it difficult to plan your personal life. You have to be extremely flexible.
• Customer Relations: You will inevitably encounter difficult or "disagreeable" customers. As a driver, you aren't just delivering packages; you're a diplomat. You need strong communication skills to reassure frustrated clients and explain that delays or issues are often out of the driver's hands.
Final Verdict
It’s a solid spot if you want guaranteed hours and a fast-paced environment. However, you need a thick skin to handle the customers and a lot of patience for the current management style. It’s a job for those who are independent and good at problem-solving on the fly.

The morning shift has a lot of parcels coming in but between trucks can take a long time. During this time we usually clean, or do odd jobs. If you want to go to the washroom you have to ask. The 'lead hand' is unqualified and has no idea what they are doing. They start fights with the other people in the office and assume the worst right away. They act their age, by instead of talking directly to you they'll "DrOp HiNtS~", or call HR right away (from out of town). 

The actual job is fairly simple though, even though the signs telling you where to put things are usually wrong or have mistakes it's fairly easy to talk to the drivers instead and just do what they want. If you don't do what the drivers want they'll make your life awful, but if the lead hand finds out you are talking to the drivers and doing what they want the lead hand will make your life awful. So good luck! :) 

I don't want to say when I worked there due to the high turnover rate, and having a whole new crew nearly every 3 months, they'll know who I am. 

After 7 years spent at Dicom, I could say that the Company had a very fast pace environment that you needed to adapt to, it was the Live or Die kind. 

There was a change of guard twice in 5 years. The Company changed hand twice. New owners, new ways to adapt to. It was like taking a step forward and 2 backwards... Very hard to cope with. 

Beside that, the core of the group was very good. Lucky we had a great team, great people, pretty much all workers were bonding together, it gave it a family environment feeling. 

Every week had its ups and downs, but basically a slightly "above average" place to work at. The HR Dept.and the Company were basically trying their best to make their workers feel comfortable when performing their duties. 

Every day was different in a sense, very hard work, at times, Company was pushing its staff to the limit, but still very fulfilling and a lot of people could leave at night proud of what they had accomplish on their shift!

When I applied for a job which was suppose to be 40 hours a week plus overtime with good salary this dream come true opportunity lasted only during the holidays " Christmas and New Year" after which everything changed to disgruntled and mishandled employees stop caring about the work.
On the start when the company didn't had enough drivers previous employees including my self were treated by managers  with" smiles, taps on the shoulders and nods" ,40 work hours +  changed to 3 days a week and one of these days would be a part time, daily stand up would start with scarcity tactic where you would listen every day how only those with most delivery's would get work. These lack of management support also will keep you in dark when it comes to your pay stubs, weekly schedule and supposed holiday bonuses which  no one received.

A typical day is as follows. We get assigned jobs/duties that we have to fulfill. We either do data entry, unloading, sorting, or packing. Sometimes we have a runner to do two jobs at the same time. Management was great at Dicom. When there aren't enough workers, the manager would come in and give us a hand. He/she were real leaders and i have learned a lot from them.Workplace culture was great. Often times when the hours were long and upstanding, we'd get rewarded for our efforts with food or drinks from tim hortons and a sign of appreciation. Hardest part of the job was when the trucks came in late with packages and boxes and we had to do our jobs and empty the trailers in ample time to leave and allow the next shift to get ready. Most enjoyable part was we were more or less independent on the shift so we could talk as long as we get our work done as well as listen to music on speaker as long as we could hear our surroundings.

This job seemed decent during training..the first day was complete chaos. No one really knew what they were doing, had people driving vans that couldn’t even reverse them into a loading dock. They want you to be fast and efficient and once you prove that to them they take advantage of it. They would give you anywhere from 70-200 plus packages to deliver always in a different region. And by 4-5pm when you’re finished they send you to rescues. Which I caught on quickly was a bunch of bs to go take packages off the purposely slow drivers. Or the employees who just straight up complained until a new person took packages off them.  

The vans are terrible come the winter time, on more than one occasion I had no heat and was told to drive it anyways. Management was wild no one was helpful they’d just pass you on to someone else.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people were great and the operations manager is a great leader and wonderful manager but it's a lot of physical work and really fast paced. Can be stressful. A lot of responsibility. Not a bad job just very busy. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The trucks coming in all at the same time and having to speed and stage.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful but the culture isn't bad.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was busy right from hour 1. I set up cages for express then jumped in to help on the LTL side of the warehouse weighing and Staging. The busiest time is between 4 and 8. If trucks are late, throws everything off.

It was an overnight job. My team and i will unload a trailer truck filled with orders from our clients. Dicom is a courier company that brings orders from the merchandiser to the end user.
I have learnt a lot of things inducing how to properly tag goods and interpret the codes as it relates to the different destinations the goods are going.
It was a fast pace environment in which efficiency is apart of our core competency.
Its a laid back culture in which we address each other on a first name basis.
The hardest part of the job is when we have a huge supply of parcels going through our channel.
The most enjoyable part of the job is lunch time . The team of us will talk about how the day is going or what they will be going for the weekend.
