I work in the Sales Organization at General Mills Canada, I manage the Yoplait Brand at Sobeys Ontario. This entails the following:

- Merchandising Plan for all Yogurt Segments
- Analysis to understand optimal price points, durations of ads, timing of ads, customized promotions to drive sales growth
- Manage Relationship and Negotiate with buyer from Sobeys ON
- Analyze performance of activity and work closely with Demand and Supply Planning for inventory requirements and control
- Create tools, guiding principles and set weekly priorities for the 60 employee Yoplait Retail Team in Ontario

Lots of working with internal Marketing teams and communicating results of initiatives to Directors and Vice Presidents. My favorite part of my job is the people I work with and the relationships I have formed with them. My team acts like a family and I enjoy this culture.

My typical day at work i started 5:30 pm and proceed to computer system,check the temperature of the filling every 30 minutes and prior to perform a metal detector check and document the time of the rejection pop and initial blow-off column.After production done i do sanitation.
I learned to much how very important the production quality, safety for all employees and products, 100% no downtime.
The only thing i love the management there are after the quality of the product and safety of the people which is there number one priority.
I find my co-worker very hard worker and friendly.
The hardest part of my job is working 12 hrs shift especially i have a 2 years old child but i survive.
The most enjoyable part of my job i learned to much and i like what i am doing as depositing quality/ sanitation especially my all co-worker are friendly.

Read the fine print: "AS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED". If your expecting to repair/ diagnose problems, maybe 25% of your work, the remaining 75% is filling in for operations lack of staff or skill. Tools, uniforms (if you want them) are provided. Being a GMP plant there are regulations to follow.  Clean the tools, the tool boxes etc. Inspections done in lockers, your tool boxes to insure these regulations are being followed. 12 hr. work days, weekdays and weekends. Within the same week expect a night shift and be asked to also work a day shift, or reversed. The pay is slightly below average, but every year drops lower as the annual increase is low. The benifits are on par with any other plant so there fair. The work environment is cold, wet but relatively clean. Coverage is1 electrician and 2 millwrights.

If you are a tradesperson who likes to constantly be treated like garbage and micromanaged, with incorrect pay cheques as a regular weekly occurrence indefinitely, with management not caring about fixing your pay as it's "not their top priority", then this is the place for you. 
Extremely toxic company to want to work for. 
No advancement opportunities. 
Forced OT by the company and if your child happens to be sick that day, consider a no call no show towards you. 
Short staffed is the new normal as they don't believe maintenance is a valuable commodity in an Industrial setting. 
Very disrespectful management team towards the workers in how they are spoken too, with not enough pay to put up with all the antics and games they play with your career and pay cheques.

Country differences and ending up with a terrible Manager

Wonderful - very collaborative company. People willing to help. Information is freely shared by leadership and pushed down often so to always know where you stand. Clear objectives that are obtainable.

Team meetings, helping people, removing barriers. Feeling accomplished each day.

Well organized and friendly. Leadership work strategically to maintain high ground.

This organization is a stress free place to work. Just be profession in every domain. Nothing else

cost and service sensitive. Team work and collaborative work flow is evident

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It depends on your function and daily task. Just be effective and efficient in with respect to SC planning

I really enjoyed the leaders. I also enjoyed the people culture as well as being able to try different positions. I was taught many character building lessons that I still carry with me after all these years. There are positions for everyone and personality types. Enjoyed the fact the fact that everyone was perfessional and there are rules
Still miss everyone.  Lots of room to advance.  The workplace.was very diverse do learnt about other cultures.

The people at General Mills are some of the most amazing coworkers I have had the chance to work with, with positive and friendly people across the departments. However, with the plateau of CPG in the marketplace, the company is in a tough position to raise market share, so a company that was once able to fill all 3 floors of its Canadian office can now fit everyone onto one floor. The expectation is for everyone to take their work home with them in order to complete their daily tasks, which leads to a hard work/life balance.

After saying my hello's to everyone in our morning meetings.  I get myself ready to perform all tasks that need to be completed as per the Floor Managers instructions. I train as well as, assist other employees with what is expected from the team to run a smooth operating line. 

After our morning breaks and enjoying free coffee that is supplied in the cafeteria.  We all as a team, have to pull together to make sure all of our orders are completed.  As a team, we assist eachother to make those stress levels manageable to complete our task as a team.

Really amazing place to work,

I mainly support the local employees with their computer issues and setting up new laptops and images for new hires.

Create processes for new setups like O365.

Currently the only DeskSide Support Analyst that is familiar with a MAC environment. 

Lots of great experience.
