Georgetown Terminal Warehouse

For the first month I did book scanning, which is what most of the warehouse does. After a month, they noticed I looked bored and re-reviewed my Resume. Noticing I had gone to school for Computer Programming they put me into Receiving where I was responsible for reviewing all shipments brought in and adding it to the warehouses database.
Great management, I am glad they let me make that transition, although I never would have complained if I was stuck scanning books. Co-workers were amazing, made a lot of good friendships there. I didn't find there to be a hard part, I love using my brain and body to complete tasks, physical or mental. The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely being moved to Receiving, time goes by a lot faster when I actually have to use my brain to complete tasks.

Company is not safe to work in for any age. Promises are never kept...like no lost time in accident/safety ...was told you get a lunch and T shirt..
That did not happened in 4 yrs ..Unless you are a friend of the boss you ain’t going to get anywhere in this place. I am sorry I do not suck up to any one. Have no compassion to people who are sick..like cancer patients....you are not allowed to take time off. Yet if you fill out forms for that it’s ok.......for now anyways. Safety is your last priority in this place.....all the big guys who work here have never been to upper floors unless you have been hurt really bad.....I have been here for 4 yrs and hasn’t happened yet. Hr lady mouth is too wide open and tells people your issue yet it’s suppose to be private. Safety Board is always here.....look somewhere else you are not going to like it here period.

From my short time working for the company, I felt little gratitude for my work, coworkers and management were more often than not less than pleasant to work with, and the pay was the bare minimum that they could give. Senior workers there apparently barely earned more than people who had just started out and we were all treated with little respect from our supervisors. There have even been times where my safety and the safety of others were endangered by faulty equipment, both while operating it and trying to repair it. Overall, I'd only go back to work there if I was desperate.

Don't bother applying. Life working here was the worst experience of my life. I would rather have all my teeth pulled out. I worked in one area but helped in other areas. One of the managers from an area I didn't help in decided to make my life miserable. I felt bullied and picked on. Most of the employees are toxic and do nothing but gossip and start fights. You could never pay me enough to go back and work there.

Georgetown Terminal warehouse is not properly managed. this company's wages are terrible. hours are good no benefits and no pension.

working at this company was  a great way to dip my toes into an 8 hours a day shift 5 days a week. further than that It is not a permanent pay Bill's job.

I learned how to do many different jobs such as shipping, receiving and returns. If you have any interest in another area you just need to speak up. 
It is overall a very friendly place. Everyone is quite nice and very helpful. I enjoy the people the most. The work is simple and boring but it is work after all.

A very negative place to work.  Nobody likes working there.  You don't get a first break. Just lunch at 12.30 and a last break at 2.30.  You better not have any medical problems because they fire you for having to have time off.

Negative....boss is not nice too women....safety is very bad .....hours are good....good parking areas....bad Human Resources....never able to get her...she is only in 2 times a week....Human Resources is not private...never share anything personal with her....

The warehouse is hot to work in.  Fans are provided but they are not very effective.  The work environment is very negative.  The hours are long and you are only paid minimum wage with no benefits.

It's a guaranteed full-time job which is great for a person just out of high school or looking to return to the work force.
