Management does not address concerns of it's employee's. Always short staffed despite the fact that management tells you that they are working on hiring. Your in constant training mode, working with agency who don't know the floor or the residents, there are some agency who pull their weight, but the majority just stand there and wait for you to do the work.  The Manor does not address the heat issue in the building, or any issues their go to is we are looking into it, and never fixing it. Inconsistencies in operating practices. Very, Very poor management. Very very stressful both mentally and physically. Side note, every department is short, and in distress. The turn over is like a revolving door. People don't stay. This company is in the top 10 places you shouldn't work at. They need a different management team to fix it.   

What is the best part of working at the company?
it’s a good rate of pay but the facility is a horrible place with no accountability. The communication is absolutely horrendous and could solve 90% of the issues. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is no communication. The standards are low. There is never enough of anything to do your job right. Understaffing is always an issue

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is foul. The environment is heavy. People are cruel to each other and not helpful. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working under staffed on a unit with extreme behaviours. Poor food. Filthy space. And a bunch of cry babies. No one wants to work or help each other.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Doing my job to the fullest.  Doing all I have to do without skipping steps.  Clients are very important to me.  The company  did give me a hard time on that.  But I did what I believed in



What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working short staffed.  I know there is a shortage of psw's and cca's but we tried as hard as we could to get things  done that needed to be done.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The same in every company.  You always get the bullies and racist people.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go go go.  Alot of the times I would not get a break.  We alway did doubles because they would ask all the time.

I found working at Georgian Mannor a very toxic place to work my own family doctor even told me to remove myself from that facility due to the toxic environment management there was unfair and had a lot of favouritism never follow through with the proper procedure when it became a complaint of somebody always took one side I was bullied a lot in that environment and I was bullied out of my job .a job after seven years I consider myself a great employee

Team work is fantastic,  we all work hard for the residents.  All staff take the time to know our residents and their families. Every smile , every hand held in special moments makes a shift worth while.  A face lighting up  with recognition when you walk down the hall, a quiet thank you from a person you've helped. We work for them and with them.  Best place I've ever worked. 

Team work is amazing, pay is great and residents are wonderful. Beautiful home ! There are times that the h units are short staffed but charge nurses and other co workers always stepped in to help. 

Barely any social life outside of work, you live there with no time for yourself. Kids constantly in the nursing station that you also live in so makes it difficult to unwind and have time to yourself. Not much to experience with nursing skills.

Lots of great job opportunities on this site. A wide selection of different jobs and very easy to use as well. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a job.

Great way to update my knowledge related to Canadian experience which i also wanted to gain. Staff was so friendly and great. Was really helpful staff.

When I started working here I was very shy but I warmed up fast because the residents and staff are very friendly and easy to work with. You can work at your own pace.
