Geoscape Contracting

Since my 2018 employment with Geoscape Contracting, I am proud to look back on my career accomplishments within the company. Over several years, I have been presented several promotion opportunities which advanced my career into supervisor/management roles (along with several of my peers). This is what I believe to be one of attractive qualities of Geoscape - their willingness to invest in individuals and promote from within. 

The expectation of employees is to maintain a professional attitude/appearance, show up to work on time, carry out work in the highest quality standard, and promote safety as #1 priority (one of Geoscape's 7 core values). Another admirable quality of the company is how much Geoscape invests back into itself. I personally own a sense of pride having been involved in the many advancements/improvement projects I have witnessed - whether that be to our main base of operations, new vehicles & equipment or investments into employee training/certifications. 

Being in the landscape construction business, it is fair to expect longer working days, adverse weather conditions and tight schedules/deadlines. The work culture between employees is fantastic - there is a comradery between staff that I think any hard working, enthusiastic individual would fine welcoming. 

Overall, yes I would recommend Geoscape Contracting for career candidates looking to be a part of a leader in landscape construction.

A typical day involves coordinating with site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. I learned a lot about detailed cost estimating, scheduling, and compliance with municipal standards. Management is supportive and approachable, always willing to assist when challenges arise. The workplace culture is cooperative, with staff who collaborate well and share knowledge freely. The hardest part of the job is balancing multiple complex projects under tight deadlines, but that is also what makes it rewarding. The most enjoyable part is seeing landscape and construction projects come together successfully, knowing you contributed to their quality. Overall, work-life balance is fair, with assistive superiors and a team-oriented environment that makes the workload manageable.



In my year working for Geoscape, I worked on many diverse projects from environmental restoration to park construction. Working on these projects gave me a broad range of knowledge in the landscape/environmental and construction industry. At Geoscape you aren't just an employee, you are apart of a team of motivated and like minded individuals who all strive to do a great job and take pride in there work. The management is very invested in seeing your growth personally and within the company. If you are passionate about your work it will not go unrecognized. The job can be physically demanding and fast paced, but it makes it all the more worth while when you finish a large scale project. If you are interested in the landscape construction industry and a company with a great culture, Geoscape is the place to be.

Geoscape Contracting was a great experience for many reasons. If you have a passion for exterior construction, operating machinery, landscaping or land development I would definitely recommend Geoscape for a long term career. 

The management team is uplifting and encouraging. They are informative and are always looking to teach and develop employees. They look for opportunities for you to grow and excel in your career. They also organize events throughout the year in order for you to get to know other employees within the company.

The projects are very exciting and you are always doing something new. Jobs are situated all over the GTA and include all aspect of commercial landscaping.

I would highly recommend employment at Geoscape Contracting if you are passionate about the landscape industry.

I loved working at Geoscape!

The management team really cares about the success of their business and they understand that this success starts with the team that they cultivate. The care and thought that goes into hiring, coaching, motivating and the general operations of the company is second to none. They also don't hesitate to show their appreciation and truly make your feel that your work contributes to the 'bigger picture'!  

I was able to learn so much and grow significantly as a professional here and I think those are things that every employee is looking for. 

I left because the office was simply too far from my home and the commute was getting to me. However, I will say, they are very flexible and willing to work with you... which is why it was so tough to leave!

The main reason why I like this company is not only the size of the business but the company culture which roots deeply through every colleagues in there. In addition there are some fun and appreciating activities during the year, even in the busiest time, to help employee to release  some stress. You can witness so many boys become men there and have great lives and career. I enjoy every day here because I can gain bunch of  new techniques and experience. All in all, people are very nice and experienced in their field and they will value your contribution and progress.

Geoscape is by far the best managed company I have ever worked for. They consistently recognize and reward employees for their hard work, dedication and quality of work. 

It is a very team focused environment and management does an excellent job at creating a positive culture. They promote from within and constantly encourage employee growth and career development. 

As a female in the industry I have been instantly treated with respect and valued for my skills and knowledge. Geoscape is a great company to work for and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a career in Landscape Construction. 

Everyday at Geoscape is different, as we do so many different types of landscape projects. We are always very busy which never makes a day of work a drag. I've learned so much at this company from the very basic landscape to very complicated ones. The people and the culture here is like none other. You truly feel wanted and cared about. The hard parts of the job for me is the weather at times, as it could be 40 degrees or minus 20 degrees. But the great thing is to be working along side great people and feel like you are on a true team.

I started at Geoscape with very little experience in the landscaping trade. It wasn't long before I was trained and trusted on using several different pieces of equipment. The foreman are great at taking the time to teach and develop new team member's abilities, while at the same time keeping safety as a top priority. The management recognizes skillsets very well and looks to grow new employees from the ground up. Overall, a wonderful experience for someone looking to be a part of a collective team with great work ethic.

Since I have been working in Geoscape for 5 years, I have learned so many things like planting, sodding, grading, and driving machinery etc. Even if you do not know some task, they are always willing to teach you how to do and guide you to get ahead. Various jobsites around GTA, and you will learn different things every single day.
   
What I love most about Geoscape is the company culture. Great people in here to work with, and there is opportunity to grow. Geoscape is always open to listen, respect your opinion and ready to help you with.
