The Gerrie family is a good family to work for.  The Cambridge store is busy and great location, how every the manager plays favorite to ppl and plays ppl against each other. There is no  Discipline for lazy workers and the ppl that do show up and do their job aren't   Appreciated.Your pay raises are a big  Secret  no allowed to say what each person got.  (Favoritism)
HR is ALL company NOT for the employees. Jobs right now are a dime a dozen don't go to Cambridge location if you want a good job. Go to another Gerrie electric store and things will be better.

Diversity, good management, flexible hours, possibly of working remotely

I didn't feel any stress while I worked there every one was helpful and the managers were respectful

Very diverse culture and welcoming to new employees 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Doing daily responsibilities, chatting with others, having your 30 mins to one hour lunch time

We have great hours. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not learning, it great. Management styles are different in every branch and company, you learn to go with the flow. Work days are busy and personal times are busy to come into work and have team work and a couple of laughs thoughout the day makes the day more enjoyable. In this business it is differcult to know everything so training can to hard because you don't know you need it until it's in front of you and the customer. Experience takes time and that what I like you can never be broad.

As an electric distribution store we deal with small to large packages/skids. It is easy to handle product as the company gives you what you need and any help. You might have to ask a few people to get the right help but help is there when you need it. Hours are steady as we deal primarily with the trades. Highly recommend this job great for a not new but with new ish worker. Great for an older driver. Note there is physical lifting but as a driver it is not all the time .

What is the best part of working at the company?
Reasonable pressure to employees to complete their tasks. Problems are dealt with calmly by the appropriate managers therefore mistakes are seldom repeated.

Occasional handles of heavy material

Busy as usual and repeated routine

Initially when i started it was a great place to work but eventually favouritism on workplace started and projects and other initiatives were given to other employees without giving me a chance to gain some experience and provide my input. Lots of work was done even overtime work was done but seldom any appreciation. We did not have productive staff meetings. 

Although this is a successful and growing electrical distributor, I found the workplace culture to be toxic and difficult to navigate. Trust between employees and management seemed limited, and there were ongoing issues with communication and leadership. While there may be growth opportunities, the overall environment made it difficult to enjoy working here. 

No room for advancement, you do the same boring tasks day after day.

All they care about is numbers, the culture is horrible and you don't feel appreciated in the slightest. Don't go above and beyond for this place 

I have a 3 months contract as a branch administrator in Gerrie Electric covering a sick leave.
I have learned so much during this time including accounting, balancing cash proof and JDE System.
The staff and the management are very supportive and friendly and it is enjoyable to work with them.

Standard work

Salary not high. Culture was ok 
It is good for someone who start in Canada
Most difficult were some people working with, 
We had some lunch and learn and other games to learn about différents parts or materials and you can get points that you convert into Amazon gift card
