A regular day to work on day to day basis usually i have to deliver services to production floor on a timely manner by doing so i have coordinate with them what they what, when it needed, where should i be deliver (including loading and unloading of stocks, stocks to be shipped out). Coordination, quick response and the right stocks to be deliver are essential to my job. I learned to be more flexible and patience considering we have a multicultural employee, furthermore be kind, polite and reasonable to every misunderstanding that we had.  My co-workers they are cooperative during our work and funny especially after work or during our breaktimes. The hardest part of my work since i work in night shift there is only two of us working in the warehouse and all the decision i made or any disagreement happened, i have to resolve it before my end shift and discussed after to my superior what had happened. I could do some decisions without my supervisor advise (independently) that i can resolve problems easily like wrong label, locations, identity of the products and anything beyond that i have to discuss the following day to my superiors. What i enjoyed most is i can exercise my judgement, working independently and my immediate superior they trust me on that.

A typical day at work:

-  My typical day includes managing raw materials for the production floor, communicating with the scheduling department and co-ordinating testing.
  
What I have learned

-  My continued learning includes knowledge of Microsoft Word. Experience with Excel formats and spreadsheets. Daily use of a database inventory system, SAP. Communicating with other departments for inventory planning.

-  I have a good working relationship with management, making recommendations, discussing issues and participating in solutions and resolutions.

My co-workers

-  I pride myself in my relationships with co-workers.  I am a respected co-worker as well as a respected employee.

The hardest part

-  I often find conflict resolution challenging.  As part of my ongoing learning experience I have been able to learn many valuable skills in the area of conflict resolution.

The most enjoyable part

-  The most enjoyable part is when all goals and deadlines are met.  It gives me a sense of satisfaction.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at the technology part of the company is that it has an experienced team of techy's who've been around for a long time. Some of them are generously sharing their expertise, which allows quick learning for the product, which is a very niche market.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The platform solution is old and uses old tech stack, which makes it unatractive for young techy's. It requires a significant upgrade and a facelift, i.e., investment from the head quaters.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overall friendly, although, might be difficult for a newcomer because the core team had been around for ages and still views the newcomer as such for many months.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and often hectic with production issues.

You could have your job one day and the next day, you're being escorted out of the building by security. This is more tailored towards experienced hires and not the production workers.
If you join the company and you didn't join through nepotism, make sure you cover yourself especially during the probation period. Make sure you and your manager are aligned with your job description and job details before you start your job, make sure your 30,60 and 90 day discussions are held so you can avoid surprises of termination during probationary period. At least this way, if you're doing poorly, you would know and if you're not, you'd know you lost your job due to something else and not your performance.
Honestly, even if you do your best, you could still loose your job for reasons that cannot really be put together.

I was middle management,  lead hand in charge of a group of people, making sure they follow schedules and quality control guide lines. 
Through all the 17 years I work there, they changed management a few times but the culture was almost the same, no problems there.
People that were under my supervision worked hard and steady. I enjoyed working there and gave my best to the company.

The best thing I can say about this place is that they keep it very clean. However, the pressure put on the workers isn't worth the pennies they pay you. Also, if you are looking for a rewarding career with room for advancement, start looking somewhere else. They do not promote employees from within except in rather rare cases. None that I can recall in my eight years there anyhow. The doors to get in and out of the building are revolving doors for more reasons than one.

I really enjoy working for G+D though I am office staff. Production floor the staff work really hard but pay not that great. 

They have a great Social Committee there and have fun activities throughout the year (pre pandemic) like BBQ’s, Ice Cream Truck day, contests, Children’s Party, Bowling night, Holiday Luncheon, etc etc.  

There are more advancement opportunities in the office rather than the production floor. It’s a very safe and secure place to work. 

G&D is a global leader in banking technology, head-quartered in Munich Germany, with operations around the world.  The Banknote Currency Solutions group has a software development office in Toronto.  The overall company is great, and the team in Toronto includes some highly experienced developers, testers, and domain experts from whom you can learn a lot.

A typical day at work can vary widely depending on the job, but it often involves tasks, meetings, and collaboration.

Learning is essential; each day should bring new knowledge and skills.


Workplace culture sets the tone; a positive culture fosters productivity and well-being.

The hardest part of the job may be dealing with challenges and high-pressure situations.

The most enjoyable part is often achieving goals, teamwork, and personal growth.

Take my advice and never work here!
It will save a lot of time!
There is no workplace culture.
There was no enjoyment in working there.
Hardest part of the job was dealing with unethical and abusive behaviour.
