Gilead Alberta ULC

I have been an employee since 2022. The type of work is intense and the amount of bureaucracy is staggering. Most people are good but some are not very nice, it will take a while to tell the difference. Beware that most employees spend their entire careers there (most people are with Gilead for at least 10 years, most are for 20 and some for 30 and over) so sometimes working there feels like working for a large crime family, where personal connections carry much more power than logic, reasoning and any kind of rationale. That fact is somewhat offset by the high benefits and compensation.

Ability to work in my profession independently.

No one else in my profession to collaborate with.  Can make decision making stressful 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Professional, academic & goal oriented. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depending on requirements can be taxing or relaxing.

Its a great environment to work at Gilead. The management is great and its all year around work.one of the reason I like about working there is that, the people who work there are very friendly and easy to talk to.

slow paced, relaxed environment. easy to get along with people, can be boring but there is very little discipline or consequences for those who have poor attitudes or do anything wrong. 

I enjoy the relaxed easy going atmosphere.

Great people to work with and clean facility. Started in 2006 and in 2010 was promoted to Team Lead, overseeing the Millwrights. At certain times I also covered for other Team Lead personnel and continued to allocate and support the work to be performed within the plant.

Focuses on building a career with many great benefits.  It is fast paced and daunting at times, but the job satisfaction is very high based on the quality and teamwork that they like to instill in their workers.

Working in GILEAD is a great fun . I learn lots of things in GILEAD specially auto control system. I worked previously in manual operation plant we are following GMP operation 

Overall good company, shift work sometimes can be painfully. Hard to find a company like Gilead anywhere else in the city. I really enjoyed working there.

Very supportive and fun place to work. They treat you like family. Very professional and would definitely recommend for job. Also lots of positions for growth.

Great people there, made everyday tasks a pleasure. Seniors are always willing to help and teach newcomers and help them adapt to fast paced work.
