Girls Inc

Over the years, I have learned how to get all the work done that is required to get done while ensuring that I have a smile on my face while doing so! I can most certainly be serious when needed, I just make sure that I am an approachable person and someone who gets along with everyone. I am a great team player.
I think one of the hardest things about the work field, is trying to please everyone. You just simply cannot, however, I do try. The most enjoyable part of any of my jobs was when I was able to work with people. I am a people person and make a great team leader! I switch easily from having fun with the staff to having to go into a manager role. I have quite a few years of management behind me and have done very well at it.

Very disorganized and staff is so overwhelmed they hardly even trained me. They gave a short orientation which was actually useless when it came to my job. I would get reprimanded for not having control of the classroom when I had no idea how to even keep the kids engaged with coloring and lesson plans I had to develop on my own. The kids often complained to me that they hated the program because teachers were constantly coming and going. the turnover rate was out of control 

Doing the Bold Futures program, and being the first group of this program is a bit stressful. But, we all roll with the punches as they come. For the most part, it's great and really exciting but when people come into the classroom in bad moods it does bring down the whole class and puts a damper on the environment significantly. But overall I love the program and am very happy that I am a part of this! 

A typical day would be me organizing and planning for the day and days ahead. This consisted of creating and preparing lessons. Then would be in different elementary schools each day facilitating these programs. Co workers were amazing and friendly. We all worked together as a team to ensure success.

the days vary in workload, one day it might be light and you'll have a semi-relaxing day and then, on the other hand, you are hurrying to finish before the end of the day. the overall majority of the people are great, the work environment is ok and you actually get to help and impact kids in a significant way,

Best place I have ever worked! The job is not easy, creativity is a huge factor, and the atmosphere and people are amazing! Pay is more than decent for hours worked.

I learned many skills in this program and got a 6 month placement after completion. I showed up everyday and earned 500 extra dollars for working 500 hours at my placement. I worked at my placement for 2 years before I quit

I enjoyed being head camp counsellor as a summer job. It was fairly easy to create activities and manage what was going on. I would definitely work there again in the future if the opportunity is available.

Felt very good too be apart of a female positive environment, arts and crafts, dream buliding , and goal creating system. its was a little environment trying too show and teach middle school girls there self worth, but overall worth it.

I had a good time working with girls inc. But i did have hard time with some of the people in my group resulting in it becoming difficult for me to go to work. other than that i felt hanna from Girls inc was extremely helpful
