Glama Gal Tween Spa

Honestly loved working here as I was able to come out of my comfort zone and speak, as well as bring smiles to kids faces which made my job worth every second! The position itself as a children’s party entertainer was not too difficult as you quickly build a routine of remembering all the packages and was quite fun as we directed and helped the kids with the activities or crafts  (making slime, doing pedicures, etc…). Besides working with children, the owner themself was truly an amazing person to work with and truly made me love my job a lot. She was very understanding and cared a lot about her guests, as well as her staff, and was honestly one of the main reasons I kept this position! However, the only issues I faced were management and a negative work environment at times. If mistakes are made management at times will assume it may be you and without asking. While sometimes I was being talked to like child, I was yelled at a few times by a manger for a small mishap which made me very uncomfortable. Overall just felt demeaning at times and made it harder to socialize with coworkers. Overall would recommend the job if you are looking to work with kids and work in the aesthetics, with flexible schedule.

Management and boss are very much a tag team and find the smallest things to pick on employees for. Very understaffed, therefore hours aren’t flexible and they are not understanding of other commitments. Work environment is supposed to be happy and fun for kids but it is very fake and tense, and you feel like management is never satisfied with you. Give NO breaks to allow you to eat in between clients, therefore expect to be starving and nauseous if you’re working all day. Would not recommend working here or supporting this business to anyone, unless you are under 5 years old and want a mediocre manicure

I enjoyed the idea of working at a kids spay as I love kids and am very extraverted. The workplace environment with my employees was very "cliquey". The girls I worked with were very judgmental and would talk poorly about the parents, and even other employees. The management was also very poor as the store/location owner didn't care about anything. We would always run out of product and would get restocked for days.

Very fun job. Even though it’s fast paced the days went by quick as well. Love the concept and the team environment. Management was great - always available to speak to and very engaged in the daily activities. I would recommend for anyone looking for a fun interactive job.

I loved working at Glama Gal, it was the first and only job that I can fully say I enjoyed. It was great while it lasted - I only left because I had to move away for school. You paint girls toe nails and jam out to music with them, while enjoying their cuteness.

Run very well and the employees are treated like family! It is fast paced. Must be good with children and outgoing. Running the "perfect" birthday party for each child that comes in is your mission! Must always be "on" and put a happy face on!

A typical day at work would be greeting guests serving food to kids, offering parents drinks as well.

this was my first job and i couldn't have found a better first job! I have never felt like it was work, it was more of a family environment

Absolutely loved my time working at Glama Gals- the whole concept of the Glama Gal Spa is an amazing idea and great for todays society! I would definitely recommend working at Glama Gals.

i really enjoyed my time working at glama gal. the staff is friendly and the management is great. working there taught me a lot and i can say the experience has helped me grow into a better employee.
