Worked for this company for almost 2 years . Within that 2 years there were so many changes not only in employees but in management and team leads  as well.  The job  felt stressful at times to due to lack of communication between  team leaders and management which in return did not help the csr's. Because of this, there was often a lot of confusion  which  resulted in preventable mistakes which the csr would be blamed for. Environment went from being  friendly, productive and positive to being draining, stressful and unhealthy. This place is a revolving door mainly because they're  looking for yay sayers and people who don't present healthy challenge or strategy to further the company. In saying that, please pick where you work wisely  where there is room for growth and always  do your research!!!! 

It can be incredibly taxing to find yourself in an environment that feels like a constant withdrawal from your internal reserves. When a space whether physical, professional, or social, is consistently draining, it creates a persistent sense of "survival mode" rather than growth. You might notice that your usual patience wears thin or that your creativity feels stifled by the sheer weight of the atmosphere. It is exhausting to perform at your best when the surroundings are fundamentally misaligned with your well-being.

Acknowledging that a place is simply "not the one" is a vital realization. It’s an act of self-preservation to recognize when the cost of staying outweighs the benefits. While you navigate this, prioritize small "recharge" moments outside of that space to protect your energy. Whether it’s a quiet walk, a favorite playlist, or a quick change of scenery, finding a way to decompress is essential for balancing the heavy toll of a depleting environment.

I started as an inbound agent and was able to move up to a Team Lead position within 6 months due to exceptional customer service and extensive campaign knowledge. Majority of my time in the call center is spent on coaching and developing agents to attain a more customer centric approach. My leadership abilities have improve significantly from manipulating agent data to performance managing employees to training new classes of employees in preparation for taking calls but most importantly my confidence in management has grown. It has been a wonderful journey working at GFD. I have met some amazing people working here and love everyone I work with, Nelson and Rachel are amazing. I enjoy working with some of the largest profile charities globally and it feels great that I am contributing to their growth and support.

Management was terrible. And you can’t trust management at all they’ll smile at your face and laugh with you then stab you in the back and snake you, and fire you and let you go. From upper management to regular management like the managers you can’t trust any of them. And from The top down to the bottom the company it’s a shot show that’s poorly run. They don’t give you a chance to improve your sales and performance, and  develop. No help, no resources or guidance. They set you up for failure. To let you go. Or in some cases if they don’t like you or because of your attendance plus recent performance plus attitude they’ll plot concoct and scheme a plan to get rid of you by firing you if forcing you to quit doenst work. High turnover ratio. They’re always hiring and firing people. 

I worked here for 3 years, and got all the way up to management, but soon after the management burnt me out! When starting in this position they don’t tell you much as all the ads are very vague, but it is door to door fundraising in all weather conditions. The hours are 12-8 but most days working till 9-9:30 which is not great for everyone. Most of the managers are great at first but as you move up you start seeing there flaws. The money is really good if you can get donations mostly all commission pay. The team atmosphere is amazing always fun and positive, I would say this is a great job if you are just coming out of college and looking for a sales job you can learn and make a lot but definitely not a job you do for every. They are not very understanding if you are going through outside work issues. 

It was a D2D sales job, working for charities, they tried to hide it from you on the job posting, and also lied about the wage on the posting as well, it's all dependent on you and how well you perform, I also felt that a lot of the tactics they taught us to use were very underhanded, and eventually started to weigh on my conscience.

The managers I had were always nice and laid back for the most part, but they always pushed us to work on weekends "to make more money" because their pay, relied on how well we did as a team.

If you enjoy walking around neighborhoods no matter the weather or time of day, and talking to/meeting new people, and attempting to sell good feelings to people, as well as potentially guilt tripping them (yes this was a tactic I was taught, and told to use), then this job might be for you.

The entire interview process was deceptive, and the job listing is borderline false advertisment. From improper training and a constant rotating door in terms of "employment" oops I mean you're not actually an employee, you're an independent contractor I.e no employment rights and or benefits. The company itself lacks any form of cohesion basically an embellished MLM type of marketing/sales, which even lacks a tactful and strategic Outlook when closing a deal (coercing and deceiving people  to donate to the various outsourced donation contracts )Complete waste of time. Do your research before even thinking of attending an interview session.

The work and management are fantastic for people who value the logic of performance based pay scales. The self improvement and development taught by management is fantasic to creating a high energy very positive team.
This is a classic sales job which above all else relies on you to develop skills and have personality. There is no shame to those that fail. The win falls for those that push above and beyond are astronomically grand.

Where do I even begin??? Everything from the job posting on Indeed to the interview to the job itself is deceptive. You make below minimum wage. There is fake positivity EVERYWHERE in this work culture. All your colleagues want to know every detail of your personal life so that they can control you. It's all about control: behavioural, information, time and emotional control. If you don't progress or make enough sales, they minipulate your emotions to make you feel guilty about it. It is doubtful that any money collected from well-meaning doners actually reaches the countries they claim to support. You are worth much more than this place. Avoid at all costs!

perhaps one of the most greatest workplaces i’ve worked at this far! So many growth opportunities available, if you work hard! 
the social committee has monthly events which creates a great bonding experience with other coworkers and management 

they also have employee perks such as discounts to CNE, Canadas Wonderland and other retail stores!

management has been exceptional as well! they are very understanding and flexible!!

i would highly recommend anyone to work at Globalfaces!
