Broadcast news is going through a drastic change due to the internet.  Middle-aged upper management has no idea how to deal with it. We've gone through a few ownerships and 1 bankruptcy protection ... but they seem to just slide the same inadequate upper management from one company to the next. Get rid of these people and bring in some new, younger blood. 

As for the job - you used to be able to specialize in a certain area  - camera ... editing ... reporting ... etc. This created a highly skilled and polished product.  Now they expect you to do it all - which is possible, but you'll just be doing a very poor job of everything. Take a look at how news is covered now. It looks like a training college.

Very dynamic place to work at. Technical problems are non-stop and never repeating situation, every day is different and exciting. It requires a lot of creativity and get familiar with new technologies constantly.Awesome place to be and a great group of coworkers. My experience there has been amazing. great culture and people
I believe its been a wonderful experience.

It is a good place to work with fair salaries, but unionized. Which can be good and bad. Good salaries, benefits, vacation; but hard to advance due to little movement in company. 

The team was like a family, however it is difficult to move up in the company. I met some of my best friends there, but many of us left as the way the company treats employees became pretty poor.

The CEO of Workplace Options really cares about people. The culture is good, there is an onsite gym and trainers available. The culture is focused on overall health. There are opportunities for advancement within.

I was not there very long, as it was only an internship. However Everyone there made me feel so welcome. It was a great atmosphere to go into every day.
