When interviewed I was told a wage higher than I would begiven upon starting at the position. When confronted about it they blamed it on the recruiter but stated that after time and with their online platform you would earn more. Later down the line I spoke to another employee that said they were also told the same thig about the wages.

Overall it's really just a matter of time till enough people ban together to either unionize or contact nom de travaille about their grievances. My biggest tip. Stay away, run far far away and never look back. There are other third party services that provide a better work environment than this dumpster fire 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people at the company have been friendly and understanding, and are willing to help with any specific needs I have.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The "on call" type of scheduling means that it's difficult to gain stability. The project you're working on and the hours you're asked to work can fluctuate from week to week.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
In my experience it has largely been friendly and enjoyable. I have felt like I've been able to talk to my leads or HR and feel heard.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There are busy days, but it's usually on the calmer side. We have a specific set of tasks that we try to get done, and we have the freedom to get them done at our own pace

I worked three month as a localization tester at Globalstep in Montreal.
Sadly,  i have nothing positiv to say.
The company does not care about the employees.
1. If you come 2 minutes to late you get a warning and the next time you get fired
2. The management does not care about your requests, they promises you projects and then you end up with no work for weeks
3. NOTHING is provided, no coffee, no tea and the break room is too small for all the employees.
4. Nobody is working, everyone is just sitting there, watching youtube and waiting for the time to pass
5. Project leads think they are important and put the testers under pressure when things does not work well
6. The PCs and equipment is old. Sometimes there is no internet and everyone is doing nothing for hours
7. the only thing i can say about this company is..please do not waste your time and work there.

Its a relatively new player in the third party outsourcing testing house. They are still developing the place. Like most testing house, you work from project to project, and how much job satisfaction you feel largely depends on whether you vibe with your lead or not. It can be very arbitrary where hard work is not always rewarded. It really depends, some leads are outstanding, and I must say I have actually felt the most appreciated, worked the hardest and had the most fun at this company then I have at any other one. However, sometimes you get a lead or a coworker that you just dont jive with, and you may be stuck with them for a few months. 

They pay CQA and FQA testers the same although one is more work imo. They dont pay very well in general, but at least they give us 1 hour paid break per day.

Typical day of work is chill and most of the tasks are super simple and easy to do. I learned that it's possible to work from home and get enough work done in less time than the typical 40-hour work week (8-hour work day). Management is chill and helped me get a small raise after about 1 year of work. The workplace culture is chill, autonomous, and usually co-workers are responsive, cooperative and get stuff done on time. The hardest part of the job is looking at electronic screens all day long, sitting behind a desk and dealing with really slow testing devices. The most enjoyable part of the job is the easy money (albeit barely above minimum wage). :)

I was working for them for 3 months and everything seems good and I was doing good and to be honest it was very easy job. Every day most of the bugs was found by me in my team and I was helping others too. But suddenly they fired me with no reason. Few days before, one of my teammates told me that how much I grow and doing my job great. I told them that I surprised by what you shared and asked them share with me the reason. They told me that they will shared the reason tomorrow but they didn't. 
If you need money and meanwhile you are looking for a job, apply for this company as its interview and the job is easy but don't count on your income as their management and evaluation is strange and surprising.

Low paid on call job that offers no future.
Poor Management team- you would get a schedule every Friday around 5pm for the following week but you also often get last minute cancellation. People who hang around manager or team leads would get more work hours. There is not much career growth. No health benefit or RRSP because it is contract based. A waste of time job if you are looking for a career. Only good as a side job but they can assign your hours any day from Monday to Friday randomly so it is impossible for you to commit to another job. Avoid this company if you have other job offer.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Poorly led (management is weak for the most part), badly paid. However, the people working there are pretty great. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not knowing if you’re working a week or more. It’s a project based job, so you could be called one day a week or 6 month solid. Depending on the project. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great colleagues, poor management (with a few exceptions)

LQA testers didn't feel valued by the company. They were low-paid, mostly non-resident international young people who were on work-holiday visas for one year.  Not many stuck around in Canada for more than one year. Including the lead testers, the management's attitude toward its employee was very toxic. 
They have no training for newly recruited testers. They are placed right in work without training of any kind. 

I love working for Global Step here in Montreal. We offer so many resources to companies that improve their online presence and technological strategies. I have learned so much about analytics since I have started. My work as a software QA tester ensures we are producing quality work for our clients and I'm happy our clients are satisfied and also, the management cares about her employees.
