A typical day at work begins at 7 AM.  During the busy season, which is usually March to October.  You might be working till 9 PM to 10 PM and then need to be back at 7 AM the next day.  As a result, I have found myself dozing off at the wheel mid-afternoon the next day, which creates an unsafe work environment.  If you're unlucky and your partner does not come in for work, you might be working till midnight.  They only pay you till 8 PM, so you are going to be doing a lot of work for free.  
You may also get multiple express orders from all ends of the city. You only have 2 hours to do them which, is impossible.  Then, you'll get emails saying you are not meeting expectations which will result in a meeting with 3 managers who all make you feel bad about not meeting expectations. Yet, they say they understand and to try your best which is very contradicting.  In 2024, they released 3 employees for not "meeting expectations".  
They have a service called Room of Choice and customers sometimes will severely take advantage of that service.  Delivering flooring or drywall to office or condo buildings where the elevators are shut off, is just one example.  
There will be times when you have to deliver 100 or more drywall in one delivery, which you have to load and unload yourself. When you get this during the busy season, it's disheartening when orders keep piling in. 
The best part about the job is you get 4 days off.  However, when you are getting off late every day, those 4 days go by fast. 
The wage has been the same for the last 4 years and they don't give raises. 
No reimbursement for any of your cell phone bills either.  You can't do this job without one.  If you get an order at 7:50 PM and you say, "I don't get paid past 8 PM" it goes on your record as a refusal which can lead to termination.  
Sometimes customers will put you in bad situations just to get their order.  Usually, they want you to come down the back alley where there are a lot of low-power lines and internet lines. It is not pleasant dealing with a bunch of people running out of their houses because you clipped a line. Happened to my partner twice and the second time, he just quit because it was too stressful. 
This job pays about as well as a class 1 or class 3 driving job.  If you have those kinds of licenses, stick to class 1 or 3 because you won't have to deal with customers and a lot of heavy lifting. 

I was very excited to work with gofor at first.. they say you can make a lot of $$ But as a gofor subcontractor you take all the risk..your vehicle your insurance your liability, they expect  you to sigh on to your app at 7 am to 5 pm from Monday to Saturday yes 6 day a week.the contract you sigh with them states that you a available to them by your choice..but if you don't  sigh on first thing in the morning you can expect a phone call..and that can chance if you are not they choice one..yes they will pick and choice who they give more orders to..some days you can make good money other days you barely cover your cost and other day you can lose money..and being in business i know there's ups and down's..but when you hear from some of the company's that you are doing delivers for and they tell what gofor is making on every delivers is seams to be a bit one-sided for them..and yes i know a business has to make money to say in it..but when you go to them and say hey i really like what i am doing..but and the end off the week i am barely making minimum wage with all the expenses..so they say they will look into what they can do to make up for it..and they did say i was a very valuable subcontractor to them..and then the next Monday cones by and you get know orders..but you get a call on the Saturday because the new guy doesn't turn his app..so what do i do? i answer the call and help them out and same thing the next week..and never a once did they figure out a way to keep me happy with pay or a call back from them on it!!  just to add one more thing i was diving 1 hr both way just from home to do the deliverers,and a lot of days i just sate in the van or truck for more then 4 hrs a day!!

Was better before they rebranded. Dispatchers like to make you run back and forth for no apparent reason. You can go to the same store pick up 3 times during the day for 5 deliveries but yet they were all sitting there since 7 am in the morning and ready to go they just like to make you run around more. And yes dispatch does have favorites that change all the time. Should be dispatched more fairly when we have swampers to pay. Some days you can lose money if you pay swampers by the day and dispatch is playing favorites.  I thought the name of the game was giving customers a fast and great delivery experience but no one has shared that with Gofor management.. 5 hours of work spread over 10 hours instead of getting the customer there delivery quickly so they do not have to wait all day. You can expect alot of heavy lifting. They will double your miles and double your fuel use because of terrible dispatching far from being carbon free actually making it worse. They need some help in the dispatch end of it unless they dispatch that way on purpose?? No help from any management what so ever if you have a problem they do not reply to you. Does not seem like there is alot of logistics experience in management. And 0 communication with drivers.

The bad

- Company slow to match its claims and product ambitions 
- Top down organization that seeks 'yes men/woman' type employees 
- New exec team are thin skinned, and often confuse constructive criticism for disloyalty
- Office politics certainly exist beware of leadership who control relationships or communication channels for their own benefit
- Execs promote plenty of mental health and inclusive buzzwords but are tone deaf to concerns employees may face 
- Company routinely sole sources vendors and platforms with close personal or financial ties to themselves, teams are forced to use them



I started working for Gofor when it first came to the Hamilton area, was one of the first drivers here. There was always a communication problem with the management and pay was always late, however initially I thought it was a new company and they were still figuring things out but that wasn't the case. I got let go after dedicating most of my time to the company for the past 4 months for no reason, without any notice. It has been 2 months and they have yet to pay me my full amount. Now they won't pick up my calls, if you dont mind waiting for your paycheck for months, horrible management, and a lot of other issues I would recommend Gofor. 0 star rating for this company.

The team at Gofor is driven and focused. I am learning tremendously each day. My boss is a real Mensch( person of integrity), and they really value employee input. They are very respectful of people's needs and they are great at following up on your questions and concerns. The head of HR is on top of things. The team is made of of many people with different talents contributing to a greater goal.

I am able to speak to the boss anytime. He is a real visionary who has built the company and instilled his vision into his employees. He is not some guy who sits in an ivory tower smoking a cigar, while his employees toil. He likes to be involved and wants the best for each or his employees.

A typical day at work is usually unpredictable. You go to work uncertain about the functionality of the app, not knowing where you will be delivering packages and while delivering, the app is extremely unreliable. 
Sometimes you do not even know who to contact for solutions and every day you would request for the MOC to communicate with the dispatcher to help you build queue. 
The most difficult part of the job is when you have to scan all the packages and number them in sequence. It takes so much time.
There is literally no enjoyable part of the job other than the personal desire to work.

worked here for 4 months, always had a problem with the pay. It was always weeks or months late. The management was horrible, they had no understanding of the GTA area and how to control the employees. The communication between management and employees was also horrible. There was always a sense of threat due to no job security, I got fired without a reason and any notice. I am still owed money but they say we have paid everything out. They also lied to me about what i had to do when i was hired and were i had to work and how my schedule would be. Overall horrible company to work for.

Working at GoFor for near 2 months has been a great experience so far with an open culture to share ideas and grow as a team. 

The work is fast paced as this tech startup aims to become one of the leading brands in the logistics space. 

I am pleased to work here and enjoy my time and the people I work with! 

I would most deffinitely recommend working at GoFor for anyone who is interested in advancing their career and joining a thriving, exciting & growing company! 

I worked for gofor for nearly 6 months, and in that time they were launching and tweaking a new system and app for their service. In light of the app having numerous glitches, they took my opinions for further development of the app, into strong consideration and valued my input. I hope the final product reflects my ideas. 

Communication was always good too. 

Who i delivered for had no volume for the gofor drivers after Christmas and I had no work. So, make sure your volume will be consistent.
