Things have changed since Covid and it’s no longer a great place to work. No communication between management, supervisors and front line staff. If you have a family it’s very difficult to balance casino life and family life. I had stepped on a broken glass and it went through my shoe and into my foot. while cleaning the blood and covering my wound I was encouraged by my supervisor to hurry back to work as people needed to be served.

Lots of freebies to staff though! 

Working as a custodian there was a good experience. I learned a great deal from the casino industry. Managers are nice people and very approachable. Lots of people from different cultural backgrounds work together. I think the hardest part of the job would be those days when you are the only custodian working the shift. The pay was good enough and the advancement opportunities were pretty good.

Duties included dealing with large amounts of cash , Dispensing large amounts of cash. Having to be extremely well with math. Dealing live games had to be aware of everything and everyone around you had to be focused on your table and cash also chips. Trained to handle situations incase of outages in Casino CPR was mandatory. Got along with other just awesome loved the people and the work area customers. Absolutly perfect.

Love working with the casino because we all are like family. but at times was like back in high school within the company. I love to work out in the public, meeting new people, seeing everyone having a fun time it was great but behind closed doors was another story.

I loved my lasted me almost 11 years but Im in need of a change and would like to put my medical office work to use and also its one of the best resturants in north battleford the food is amazing and with the fast passed enviroment and the coworkers/workers worked well together and made the experience for customers confortable!

a typical day at work is to provide customer service.
what I learned on the job is team work and positive attitude.
the manager and supervisors are approachable. the coworkers provide team work. the hardest part of the job is shift work. the most part of the job is knowing your patrons.

I enjoyed my time here, from beginning to end, I felt like family.
I was a custodian so a lot of my job was cleaning after others, I didn't mind it, for this presented opportunities for growth and advancement.

Working with First Nation ppl, as an eye opener at first, some of the culture ways of doing things made no sense to me , again at first.  Smugging was one of them.  We were not allowed in the working area till the elders were done.  That was one of the bigger ones for me.

This workplace will challenge you and allow you to really grow. Dealing with the public and performing your duties becomes similar to juggling. Co-workers are a great support along with guidance from experienced staff.

Fun place to work . If you like wheeling with the public , this is the place for you. You work 8 -19 hour shifts , fix machines , interact with the public, and pay jackpots. Tips are good , pay ok . Work at gold eagle , where your friends plAy .
