Golden Griddle Family Restaurant

I enjoyed working with the dishwasher machine, mopping up messes and bussing tables but believed that this job did not have a real future with me as it was a dead end. For my university advanced education I was really limiting my advancement for my studies required a more proper and dignified career rather than a physical job. It was way below my intellectual education even though I liked the hands on approach of the position. I was also in competition with "a family business" where I had no future free from their family biased nepotistic supportive practices which were ever so present every day I had been there from the get go. I had to break free from this most pressing bond therefore I had absolute limits, hands down. I decided to quit. 

A typical day at work at golden griddle is usually busy. We all focus on the task that we have do and get it done. The working environment at golden griddle was great especially for a first job.

I was a server for four years and enjoyed the job for the most part. I liked dealing with the public and working as part of a team.

I learned excellent customer service and how to organize and prioritize.

The negative of the job was the inexperienced management.

multi tasking,co workers treat me as their family,learn to handle customer complain,the most enjoyable part is that when customers appreciate what your doing especially i they are satisfied with the services

Was a very busy place when I worked there with a lot of activity, especially on weekends starting at 7:00 a.m. sharp. People were lined up. Good morale and good team spirit in that sore.

Since I worked only for few months there,not able to give more comments.As a new comer to Canada on that time,that job gave
me confident as well as able to improve my other personal skills through that job.

I starting working as a bus boy and worked my way into the kitchen. i gained a wide range of skills that include working and dealing with customers, learning to work in a fast pace environment, preparing food, etc. 

Boss doesn’t allow employees to advance. No room to upgrade in the industry. Hostess aren’t tipped out. It’s not fair. Would not recommend to anyone wanting a liveable wage.

As an long term employee, I felt that many of the customers and the staff were family. I have maintained some of the relationships throughout the year

Enjoyed my employment there. But hours were seasonally based. Needed more hours. Employer and co-workers were a great bunch to work with I just needed more hours
