You'll meet lots of nice, good people here, and will occasionally get to take home some product. That's about all the good I can say about here. 
Working here, expect to be shoe-horned into one specific boring job you will do everyday for 12 hours, despite their talk of cross-training in the facility. It probably won't happen. There is almost no coordination or communication between departments and/or management. You'll be told and expected to do things many different ways depending on who you're talking to. Leads are stepped on hard to meet targets and expectations with little support from management. Don't expect feedback on how you're doing your job, except when something goes wrong then expect a lecture from management that doesn't know how your section operates. Equipment breaks down constantly, bringing the whole production line to a halt (sometimes for more than half the day), then everyone will have to work double time to meet quotas. Production schedule frequently changes or is added to without telling workers, often close to the end of the day. Advancement or expectations will depend most on whether management likes you or not. Some people are fired or disciplined over basically nothing, while others who are terrible workers will be praised and have nothing happen to them or be promoted. 
At the end of the day, the stress and exhaustion you will experience from working here is not nearly worth what you will be paid. You'll go home dog tired, and will feel like that on your days off until you go back and do it all over again. There are plenty of other jobs you can make a lot more money for feeling just as burnt out and stressed. 

Most days at work, you won't feel as though you're working at a farm, and rather another typical food-processing plant. There is a huge disconnect between production and management, as management never knows what's going on within the daily tasks. Many people in management also tended to have very big egos and treat the production staff poorly. 

There used to be a good work ethic, but that was taken away when they no longer allowed us to play music during our shifts.They also reduced our 30-minute break to 15 minutes.

Everyone is extremely stressed out because too little people are expected to do too much physical labour with little regard for burnout. 

Depending on where you are placed, you will be expected to work in a giant freezer for 12 hours and they will NOT provide you with appropriate wear to keep you warm. If you need to attend the hospital for a few weeks, you will get fired unless you're part of managment. If you need to take unpaid time off to get married, they will fire you. That I know from experience with previous coworkers.

Management can be very rude and unorganized. Nothing to do there, won't be in production for another 3-4 months, you will stand around all day with nothing to do, nobody will give you something to do and no instruction, then get in trouble from management for not doing anything. Horrible communication skills, not the job they say it is and don't actually give you what they offer, supposed to get a review with a raise 3 months after you start and never happens, benifits aren't worth the time, horrible pay for the bordem of the job. Management, and the 'office people' are very rude to the workers, don't have any respect for us, plus no HR administration. When you start I had to quckily read through all the employee information including the information about benifits, time off, paid sick days etc, don't get a copy to bring home and it isn't posted anywhere. The only good part of this job is the employees working with you, generally very nice, friendly, and if you need anything the team leads will help you with anything. I highly recommend to not work here, messed up place.

Production is good, it is fast-paced most of the time, some days are more relaxed than others though depending on case count. Hardest part of the job is doing any job in the facility that requires movement of full trays. Team B people are great, Not too sure about Team A as I am not on that shift. Benefits are great. Advancement and pay structure for anything other than VFT1 makes no sense for the tasks and responsibilities that accompany them (VFT2-VFT3), so I would not encourage anyone to take on those positions unless you can negotiate the wage higher than what they are offering at the moment. Management is okay, very unorganized though. Management never seems to ever know whats going on, any issues you have need to be said over and over again to the right person so it can be addressed, and even then it may not make the priorities list, so you just deal with it. 

Harvesting takes place Monday to Wednesday in a cold room.  The leafy greens are cut by the harvester and then taken up on a belt into a bin.  Workers take the bin and then pack the product into clamshells.  I learned a bit about vertical farming but overall not much.  The management is poor due to "micromanaging".  The workplace culture had a negative atmosphere and lacked communication.  The hardest part of the job was the inconsistent hours - you never knew when you were going to get off and this could make it very tiring.  The standing on cement and in the cold for many hours is also detrimental to the body.  The most enjoyable part of the job was working with specific co-workers that were fun and made you laugh.

Often have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging tasks in all areas of the business, sometimes requiring the development of new skills. 

Good workplace culture, friendly, experienced coworkers.

High level of flexibility depending on position, company allows for work absences for appointments, etc. 

The nature of GoodLeaf being a start-up/scale-up company means that there are often unexpected challenges, and access to resources can be a challenge. Some find this hard to deal with, others enjoy the ebb and flow. 

Recommended to those with the ability to quickly adapt to change, and who can handle periods of uncertainty. It is a fast-paced, though rewarding environment.

I enjoy my job and team very much.

I have loved watching many internal candidates rank upward and take on new roles that are well deserved. This environment is challenging and that is the kind of environment that you will grow as a person and member of a team.

This work site is responsible for many GMP activities (receiving, storing, seeding, growing, packing, sanitation) and makes an effort to cross train.

Many people come and go, especially at entry level but nothing that I would describe to be a problematic turnover.

The place is basically run by temporary workers because no one wants to stay as a full time employee. Low pay, lots of maintenance problems that affect workload, no overtime pay even though you work more hours because it’s a ‘farm’. Everyone is run to the ground so that the higher ups can make all the money without doing anything. No accountability. Can be a toxic work environment depending who you work with. Lots of favouritism. Not a lot of employee appreciation. Horrible benefits. Say goodbye to your social life. Also never provide enough jackets for their freezer but expect you to work in there. 

The culture here supports you working long hours and weekends without pay and they won’t be transparent with you about it during the hiring process. Surprise you are now on call without extra pay while management is well aware and refuses to come up with a solid solution and will string you along for months… burn out or quit, pick your own adventure at GoodLeaf. There are some solid people toughing it through likely waiting for their false promised promotions or external job opportunities. Some promos seem very political without job postings. Lots and lots of turn around.  

Good work environment, for the most part departments work as a team to get the job done. People work here because they are passionate about the work and care about what they do. Production staff (VFT I) wage is acceptable, but the VFT II and III wages are not a fair wage for the responsibilities taken on in these roles - especially since a lot of the people in these roles have degrees and/or experience that is not being compensated for. Do not get yearly raises like most places. Lots of opportunities as company is expanding quickly.
