No actual training was given from anybody from corporate. Most food pre-cooked and or Frozen. Instant mashed potatoes.
 Watched management make servers pay for mistakes including customer mistakes. That of course is totally illegal.
 I remember one mistake(customers) happened and the general manager said who's going to pay for this and I looked at her and said no one mistakes happen and that's the cost of doing business and as a company you absorb those costs.
We were told in a meeting with a corporate manager about how a customer had asked if things were previously frozen and the server did not want to lie and said yes. The manager then said we don't tell people that that's just grounds for dismissal so think about it before you say stuff if you want to work here. Also completely illegal.
Honestly just avoid the place as you will not be able to put up with that kind of stuff for very long and you'll be looking again. And yes the house does take a percentage of tips, again also illegal.

Worked at the streetsville location for 5 years. New mgmt took over and fired me immediately because they were heading in a " new direction." Up to then , tip pool was raised to 6.5% to pay for Management's salaries. All staff working there can literally just stop paying this and there is nothing they can do. All tip pools must be agreed upon by all staff and posted properly weekly where that money has been paid out to. 
Of course I never brought this up but management had proven over time just how sketchy they were. The food went from real to fake in just over a year and they began to charge for what was basically filtered tapwater. A buck a glass.. how ridiculous. It's a shame because it once was fantastic ( at least the food ) and mgmt was bearable in the first year or so but became useless , untrained and unbearable with each new unprofessional hire. It's been a while since I was let go but I could never return to that den of vipers.

We were forced to pay for kitchen mistakes or customer complaints, hours requested and availability offered were never taken to consideration, people were fired because they wanted to go home to their family for Christmas, se*ual harassment, verbal abuse, decor did not match food quality, our staff discount for food was lowered from a 50% discount to something about half of that...my favorite part was when a manager fired somebody for a mistake, rehired him that same night because they realized it wasn't that bad, but then changed their mind about a week or two later and fired him again. I mean...where do I begin? (Pardon my lack of formality)

as a manager they'll want you to work up to 90 hours a week for minimum manager salary. so hourly you make minimum wage.
head office have no idea what they are doing. and what you come with ideas and start to ask questions they'll just fired you with no reason cause the GM doesn't you people to know whats going on.
they still the servers tips to pay head office salary with every week and don't pay for over time

As a service bartender you make $2 extra an hour per shift, you are not tipped out from servers.
They will give you some tables, so you make tips that way but no one sits at your bar, it’s mostly a service bar.
Servers tip out 6% to house and that is not distributed to bar staff or hosts or food runners.

Employees are treated horribly by management, lots of problems concerning tips, insufficient training for new employees, changes made within company not communicated to employees creating alot of confusion and conflict. Overall horrible work environment, only apply if you would like to be miserable at work and treated poorly by underqualified management.

If you enjoy throwing your life away for minimum wage then this is the place for you!! There is absolutely zero care for servers and as management you will be grossly uncompensated for your time and effort put into any of their current 5 locations.

high communication between staff- little between ownership and management.
Most days you could come in and have a fun time with your guests and fellow servers but often times there were conflicts in protocol changes that staff were not informed of.

Learnt how to properly serve tables and take orders
Wonderful connection with all employees and customers 
Management needs to work with communication and how to respect their workers.
