Pros- The lab coats came in all sizes which is a plus for myself because I am a large individual and often have problems finding a uniform that fits. The salary was good.  It began at $14.75 in May 2021and increased to $17.20 by July 2021.  My supervisor listened to my concerns but I had to be assertive and stand up for myself. Some co-workers were kind and helpful.  Two breaks per 8 hour shift: one twenty minute break and one forty minute break.  The weekly giveaways allowed me to get some free groceries and recipes.

Cons- Supervisors were often disrespectful and shouting at their associates.  Unrealistic productivity requirements with few resources.  They wanted us to make 2-3 recipes a day (240-360 bags) and we were often missing ingredients and racks and did not have enough space.    Constant pressure to be faster and more productive.  Some coworkers were not very pleasant and I’m putting that nicely. Commute time. (1 hour from downtown) Physically demanding work.  I was sore every evening and week-end.  No proper training.  Cold environment. (0-4 degrees Celsius).  Long line ups in the bathroom.  Long commute to cafeteria eats into break times. (5 min there and 5 min back)

Cons: constant rounds of layoffs and expectations that the remaining staff do more with less. Stressful when shifts get cut. 
No regular pay raises.
Very, VERY poor communication between departments and from upper management. This is a huge issue since they constantly change procedure. 
It's cold in the warehouse. 

Pros: 
Managers have been compassionate and accommodating of health or personal issues the effect attendance.
People are nice enough. 
The work itself is fine and rarely overly stressful..
Able to work completely self-guided. 
Can take my breaks when I want to. 

I enjoyed working there , atmosphere was good . People I worked with was helpful . The only issue was that there was much parking area for loading . My  supervisor was very helpful and cooperative. I like the fact that my schedule was flexible. The boxes was very easy to load . The baskets were not as easy because they took up a lot of space . Overall my experience there was good . Location of what’s house was not the greatest especially with all the road construction and traffic on griffin town 

Everything is good except the job security but you can not blame them as the current situation in the company where they lost a lot of customers after covid and a few of their projects failed drastically, company had to close a lot of their stores and warehouses across Canada.

It was good at first but then busy which is nice not much on training disorganized and cutting back on hours that are guaranteed mandatory overtime and not able to make up their mind on what time you are off or when you work management keeps schedules to themselves and not share it give to their staff

Employee retention is a problem. This translates to instability in performance considering that most of the work is based on synergy between the team members to achieve performance target.

- Extreme high pressure of work from supervisors
- No value of a human as a worker
- Working in Refrigerated environment (1-4 degrees)
- Sometimes lack of proper equipment (For example scissors to cut packets, scoop not provided for wet vegetables in 4 degrees)

Good company to begin with. Highly paid and people are good. A good employer makes going to work each day fun, rewarding and challenging. When searching for jobs, look for companies with happy employees, good benefits and a positive company culture. These are signs of a great place to work.

It is a good place to work. Friendly environment and easy work. Supportive supervisors and management. Paid sick leaves and vacation are provided. Promotion according to experience of an individual. 

I started working as an Inventory Control Coordinator and learnt a lot of new things while making good money while studying. The work may be little fast paced but that sharpened my time management skills.
