Working at GotCare as a New Hire  Starting my journey with GotCare has been a unique and eye-opening experience. As a new employee, I appreciated how the onboarding process was clear and supportive. The team was friendly and responsive, which made transitioning into the role a lot smoother than expected.  What stands out most about GotCare is its commitment to client-centered care. The platform connects caregivers directly with clients in their communities, allowing for more flexible schedules and a more personalized caregiving experience. As someone who values meaningful work, it’s fulfilling to know I’m making a difference in someone’s daily life while also having control over my work hours.  That said, as a new hire, it does take a little time to fully adjust to the independent nature of the role. Unlike traditional care jobs with constant supervision, GotCare gives you more autonomy—which is great, but it also means you need to be organized, proactive, and self-motivated.  Overall, if you’re passionate about caregiving and looking for flexible, meaningful work, GotCare is a great option. I’m excited to keep learning and growing in this role.

The pay is better than some home care companies but still falls below a livable wage. If you are lucky enough to find a client in your area with a decent amount of hours it’s worth it, however, many clients are ones that require minimal hours per day so you are still doing the traveling. Mileage is not paid by Gotcare and the job is extremely difficult to do if you rely on TTC. 
Be sure to interview the client first to see what their needs are and what you will be required to do. The care plan is provided by the client and you are not overseen by anyone, it’s you that takes on any risks in accepting the position. Gotcare will advise you to not accept jobs you don’t feel comfortable with. I recommend acquiring liability insurance for PSWs for anyone providing services in someone’s home.
The staff at Gotcare are great and approachable and try to work with PSWs to find the clients just right for them. As a new company you can tell they are trying to make home care a job with dignity of choice and acceptable pay for PSWs where many, many other agencies fail. Hopefully, benefits and pensions will be added in the future as these are things that ALL PSWs deserve.


So having worked with this company for 8 months of time as a home to home PSW i can confidently say this group of individuals who organize the company manage it well. A typical day at work consists of having a printed schedule detailing the patient information, (address, start to end time, and even distance measured in KM) You then travel to the address attending to the patient in standard PSW practice. In all honesty they allow you to pick the hours, and after that you tend to the patient on your own terms especially if you are familiar with care giving at home and of course you will discuss how to care for the patient with the patient and their families. Gotcare uses a phone app that helps you clock in and out your hours. This allows you to manage and track your hours easily. I am not too savvy with technology and the management staff still helped me with all my questions anytime i called them. That was the hardest part of the job handling technology app. Finally be prepared to drive around the GTA because you will be scheduled at different places thankfully at the usual scheduled times. Got care Is very welcoming !

The management team is supportive, responsive, and genuinely values the contributions of its staff. Scheduling is flexible, and communication is clear, which makes it easier to balance work and personal life. The company prioritizes client-centered care, and I’ve always felt encouraged to provide compassionate, respectful, and high-quality support to each individual I serve. Training opportunities are available, and I’ve grown in both confidence and skill since joining the team. One of the things I appreciate most is the collaborative environment—whether working with nurses, fellow PSWs, or office staff, everyone is treated with respect. The company also takes employee safety seriously, providing proper equipment and protocols

A day at work consists of the clients needs based on their individual care. This is given to you before hand so you are set up to succeed .   I’ve learned to listen to what the client needs, wants and to have patience.   Management is very caring and always responsive in a timely manner. Management, provides you with all the clients needs and how they want it done. Workplace culture is a friendly, safe environment. There is nothing hard about the job. The most enjoyable part of working for Gotcare is putting a smile on the clients face when care is needed. 

GotCare CONTACTED ME MONTHS ago to work for them in my area. The indication that I got, given they contacted me--was that they had CLIENTS in my area. I was told that I had the job & within a week to two weeks, I would begin working. That was MONTHS ago. I've heard nothing from them and seemingly, have been utterly ghosted by them. I was extremely excited given their amazing reputation online. I did my homework before I accepted. Apparently this practice (hiring and NEVER contacting people) is something that "isn't" written about. I'm very disappointed, as I looked forward to being part of this company. 

I have to recommend Gotcare! I actually felt that I was important, a person, not just an employee.  When I called I had someone answer the phone with "hello (insert my name)" it was a breath of fresh air. I didn't have to jump through hoops to speak to someone. Although I only worked with Gotcare for almost a year, it was a year of non-stress, as I knew if I had a problem, they were only a phone call away! Amazing company to work for!! Looking forward to being offered another job soon!


Working for this corporation or company was very stress free the fact that nobody was hanging over your every move made it very relaxing   basically run your own schedule with your clients makes it an amazing experience I would definitely work for these people again and I would definitely recommend that If you have a chance these are great people for. pay was always on time with no issues. when I had a problem the staff was always there with in 24 hrs 2ith answers.

I have just started with GotCare and was blown away by their care philosophy not only for their clients but also for their staff. They take care of both and it shows in action not just lip service. They are some of the nicest people I have spoken to in this industry thus far. They understand the needs of the clients and staff and have some really neat strategies to make it happen. I look forward to working with them more in the future. 

I worked for GOTCARE as a private home care PSW. The part I liked about GOTCARE is they have clients who are close to you so you’re not traveling to far to care for them. 
Very flexible with scheduling, I was going to school and working. I was able to choose as many hours as I liked and I picked up more when I could. They have an app to track your hours and to clock in & out of which client you’re with that day.
