-typical day at work begins at 4:30 am on site, the towers are busy places to work here in Toronto, so the earlier you are the better you are, activities requiring noisy work are conducted outside of business hours. Getting in extra early gives a supervisor a benefit of getting time on site prior to trades each day, and allows the construction manager to remain a couple steps ahead of the rest of the field.

-I've been given the opportunity to learn continuously throughout my 12 years with G.B.A, on many aspects of , structural ,Architectural, mechanical, electrical scopes of work.

-Teamwork oriented, well educated construction professionals.
-Turning work off is by far the hardest part of the Job, on must always find a true balance between work life and personal.

-most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the process and progress of a project  from the start up, to final delivery to the client /end user.

Very busy on site can be difficult maintaining safety protocals on site

The culture!  Company events!  Teamwork.

Work!  But that is what I was paid for!

Amazing!  There was always an event. The Wellness program was very good.

You work hard. Lots of variety as this was a sole role when I did it

I work at Govan Brown as a temp time to time when the Office Manager goes on vacation. The culture of this company is incredible. Everyone is very kind and approachable. It's definitely a great company to work for and I would recommend anyone to work here if you get the chance. They also have a gym which is a great bonus! 

Everyday was to go over tickets and emails before the day starts. I learned new issues everyday. Management and co workers are very good to work with we were a small team but got along very well. Hardest part of the job is not able to purchase inventory only my headoffice could. Most enjoyable was get free lunches everyday.

They paid great, offered lots of room for advancement and treated everyone for the most part fair. There was some major office politics which was their biggest demise however I have heard many changes have taken place therefor I would hope this is no longer an issue.

Govan Brown & Associates has a beautiful, well lit and spacious work environment. The company celebrates each employee's birthday and has several event during the year, from summer BBQs to Xmas events to Community clean-up endeavors. A sea of work and daily ongoing interactions with subcontractors.

Fun place to work.  Everyine support you from day one as you are a member of the team.  There are lots of gaming activities as well as gym provided for the staff.  Off site activities are also schedule with full participation of all staff members.

I helped them finish a project that was beyond their initial scope

At the time, there wasn't any management
