My only issue with this job  is that it's a contract job and not guaranteed hours. I typically work from 8:30 to 4:30pm, I would answer inquiries in regards to motor vehicle, vehicle registries, vital statistics, process payments. Management is ok, it just seems as though they do not have enough support from Fredericton in regards to making changes with policies and procedures. My co-workers are great could not ask for better people to work with. The job itself is quite easy if you can utilize your tools and information networks and continue to educate yourself on the subjects you are trained for. The most enjoyable part i would say is helping people and educating them for the future.

I worked for the government and it was a good experience, my co-workers were nice to me. I brought my accounting experience that was appreciated. 
Also, They gave me a training on how to handle and process difficult files like those about taxation and bankruptcy.
the most enjoyable work I had is when I was called to create a file which shows SNB monthly revenues, in detail of whole sellers for tobacco, alcohol and fines given by the police to drivers for misconduct.

Great staff here, I enjoyed working with them! Doing house visits with clients provided some variety in the work environment, it was nice to get out a bit during the summer months. I worked seasonally as a summer student.


We applied late winter / early spring, and didn’t hear back until a bit over a week before the start date, made it difficult to leave previous jobs. We initially assumed we hadn’t gotten the job (happened to all of us).  Once we got into work and settled though, sufficient training was provided and it was a nice place to work. They celebrated all of the summer birthdays even for the summer students they didn’t know as well, very inclusive.

This position was enjoyable and I met a lot of lovely people as would be expected as the receptionist, everyone that came to the office was greeted by me. Greeting people was the most enjoyable part of the job. I didn't find any part of this job particularly hard. Typical day at work, set up, check the general email box, incoming and outgoing physical mail, call for courier service as required, check voicemail and relay messages to correct departments, or call the person who left the message for clarification which was often required.

Good salary and benefits.  It can be frustrating at times - hurry up and wait approach to projects.  Promotions are linked to favoritism and not performance/competency.  There is also a bias in favor of francophones.  Overall, howver, it is a good place to work with generally nice people and good compensation/pension.  Most people start with 3 weeks vacation and then get 4 weeks and many have five weeks (on top of stat holidays).  Flexible work arrangements (hybrid, remote work) are not uncommon, which is nice.   

Great benefits, Everyone in my team is at least great to get long with, people are here for more than 10years & planning to retire from here, great job security specially in my department there is always work, so much work that I feel there is need for me. Salary can be increased but they pay fair, I am really happy with my job & look forward to continue working here. Also your salary gets bumped up I am guessing every year or until you reach maximum steps in your PayScale. so there is no need to jump jobs or positions to get salary increases.

Nice people ,respectful work culture .The company has a slow-paced work environment, which can be a positive aspect for those seeking a good work-life balance. It allows employees to maintain a healthy social life and manage personal commitments effectively. However, the slow pace may not appeal to individuals looking for a highly dynamic or fast-moving workplace. Overall, it's a good fit for those who prioritize stability and a steady routine

I learned how to be responsible of keys as well as laundry and cleaning supplies. I also learned what it took to be a good janitor. I managed the Community center by being the secondary key holder and reporting anything to the maintenance crew of anything that needed to be fixed or of any supplies that needed to be replaced. There really isn't any hard part of this job and the most enjoyable part of it was the satisfaction that I got from people who used the center on a daily bases.

Low staff numbers lead to staff being left alone with offenders in the living units. Should have higher staff numbers and more food for offenders. Certain management teams only concern is cutting costs, therefore staff lose out and stress is high as they feel they are put in unsafe positions due to budget constraints. 

Good benefits - life insurance, health & dental coverage. enjoyed the job. Mental Health support is offered, but lacks any "real" assistance. Guidance at work, is strongly there. Support for parents, mental health, and pressure is very low. Don't ask for any assistance for mental health, or say no to overtime, they will find a reason to "let you go".
