For the period I worked for the college I had all the support I needed and it was a great place for me.
I had the opportunity to teach at a college level for the first time face to face and online course.
Unfortunately the program I was teaching had to be cut off because of budget issues. It was a great program, one-of-a-kind in Canada.
It was a pleasure to work for the GPRC.

It helps when the job is in the same area as your school. As a student, this certainly helps. Especially when it comes to helping other students that are dealing with the stress of school work. 

It is lovely to know that you are taking the time to help others with their school work and getting to know other classes beyond your field of study. The two people in charge are lovely people to talk to and truly care about the well being of others.

Working for GPRC was one of the best as an employee.  Great leadership which also meant really cared for the students. Worked in a flexible job situation which made for long weeks going into weekends.  Enjoyed all co-workers.  It was required to voice all concerns and make opinions known with management to prevent situations from happening. The long weeks was hardest part of job but because of these long weeks it could be some of the most enjoyable times in the job.

GPRC is a horrible institution to work at. It is the most toxic work environment I have ever experienced. The individuals running Human Resources are completely unquantified for the positions they hold and unfortunately because of this, staff suffer. 
Bullying and backstabbing is rampant at this college and absolutely nothing is done about it. Please think long and hard  before taking a position at GPRC.

Working for the college was another favourite of mine because I was attending the college at the time and they worked around your class schedule so that was really nice, you could work little shifts in between each class or classes. The people I worked with were always available to help you if you needed a shift covered or whatever. Dwayne is absolutely wonderful as well. Great Boss.

The students were young keen and motivated ! The course in my view was 80% to fill up the business department classes

More heavly loaded with business rather than the industry they were going to enter

GPRC Gives me the freedom to run my course as I like. Resources are made available as needed. I come up with a new course and they run it! I would highly recommend GPRC as an Instructor. 

Almost unlimited potential for learning and development but there is very little staff turnover so advancement is unlikely. Staff will need to be self-driven and accountable as the expectations are when given a task, it will be assumed that it will be done as expected.

With 3 New Presidents and 3 new Fairview Managers I think it's safe to say that the organization as a whole is a mess. Caring and help especially after the China Virus hit was virtually zero...... Need I say more....

I was privileged to retire from my career after 25 years employed at GPRC where every day provided learning and cultural opportunities for students, staff and the community at large.
