What I do in general is either scan ticket and take pictures of the clients if they want to in front of a green screen like at La Ronde, I also greet every client that gets into the site, I also attend the clients on the platform right before they get on the wheel. I learned how to talk to clients, the management is very bad because they give random hours to everyone and the way the prioritize the employes for the jobs, Photobooth, cafe, attendant, cashier is very bad. Communication during a shift is the worst, the working conditions are atrocious, only thing provided for the cold weather is a very cheap jacket. Nothing else to heat us up. But it is nice to talk to clients since they are tourists, and the people that work there are very nice BUT NOT THE MANAGERS!

In my past workplace, the boss's demeanor significantly contributed to a negative environment. Their lack of kindness and consideration made interactions tense and demotivating. What exacerbated the situation was the apparent indifference towards ensuring staff safety. Critical safety protocols were often overlooked, creating an unsettling atmosphere where employees felt their well-being was neglected. The absence of proactive measures to guarantee a secure working environment reflected poorly on leadership. It's imperative for any organization to prioritize both the emotional well-being of its employees and their physical safety. A shift towards a more compassionate and safety-conscious leadership approach is essential to foster a healthier, more conducive workplace for everyone involved.

Worked there for a couple of years. Met some of the best coworkers ever and made friends for life. However, just to give you an idea of how the workplace was, I and other employees used to say that the place was cursed because of the many terrible and unethical things that happened there.  Terrible management since day 1, and it's getting worse and worse as the years progress. The management team mostly wanted to personally look good in front of the owners; they don't know how to handle stress, and most/all of them don't have legit work experience managing very large teams and events. As an entry-level employee, you are treated like just a number and as easily replaceable. They mostly care about the company's image in the media.

Working at the Roue was fun, the job and the shifts were reasonable, but management assistance was often required for simple tasks, even with previous experience. They may run under your required minimum of hours due to seasonal demand. You have to be careful of your approach because if it is not optimal, you may not be made aware of that before it is too late. Floor management are approachable (even though inconsistent on occasion), but presumably as in any company with high employee rotation, decisions concerning you will not always be made with your growth in mind. Employee benefits are very limited. Employees are friendly.

This was my first experience on the work market and I would compare it to my first relationship as they were both mediocre, toxic and I stayed way longer than I should of have. Like most I only recommend this job for the summer as it is fun to work in one of Montreal's most lively areas during the estival season, but winters are extremely tough. I would not comment on the management that is in place at the moment, but back when I worked there it is an absolute mess.

It’s a great student job! The environment is fun and upbeat so if you are looking for something to make you move then its for you. It is also a great place to work because theres different departments and you acquire different skills which can be advantageous in the future. I love working there because of different opportunities and the friendly atmosphere!!

Worked there for a few years as a student, I didn’t quite like it. The coworkers were nice and welcoming, management (supervisors or HR) team were not so much, it was quite hard to get through them to ask for a day off or for some informations. Schedules were not always fair… Overall, is ok for a first job or a student job, have some ok discounts too! 

The thing I like the most here is the team, they are very nice and respectful, everyone is very nice so I love coming to the office. My job challenges me to work more and learn new things, I take on a lot of responsibility that makes me more motivated to work.

The company doesn't care about its employees, violent outburst from managers, paycheck regularly missing money, computer system doesn't calculate all your hours, HR couldn't care less about the money missing in your paycheck. Worst job I ever had!

No benefits whatsover while you work and feel like none because your opinion does not matter. No helpful management and, then when you had a problem you would go to HR but HR was the manager also.
