Grandview Lodge

Everyday people always greeted you with kindness, and manors, had a lot of respect for all the woman and gentlemen living there. the fact that they were very active made my day knowing that they could still have fun. i learned about what it's like to get older, and how to help someone out of a wheelchair and help with their hygiene.  the co-workers were also very excepting and high willing for help. the hardest part of the job was seeing the conditions some of the elders were in and it was very hard to see sometimes because it brought back some bad memories the the good side of it was even though I was just a volunteer for a while everyone accepted me and made me feel like I belonged there.

Typical day very fast paced time management is very much needed. When hired in 2019 I was trained fully I each until at least 3 times per unit. Now training is hardly offered and your expected to know what a cardex is and how to read it. Manager for dietary is extremely two faced and condescending. Couple bullies in the department one being a full timer which is also very condescending and two faced very very toxic environment in the dietary department i suggest  applying for anything else but the kitchen 

Often short staffed but experienced employees make it better. Good support from nurses. Management is supportive but often have too many new things coming out at once. Residents are nice and mostly thankful. 

Wonderful environment and great staff . They provide residents the utmost value of their needs. All LTC homes should follow their example!
The hours are long however.
If I were looking for a place for my loved one this would be it.
Mostly, the staff are dedicated to their residents 

Staff are nasty only nice to the once’s they like and if you go along with what ever they want doesn’t matter if it’s right or wrong management are just as bad they pick and choose who they want feel will what they want especially if you challenged them 

All supportive and  friendly place to work.  People are willing to help you out with any concerns you may have.  Great Teamwork, Great morale, great place to work

Great place to work in health care a little gossipy and drama but that's found alot of places unfortunately have had alot of laughs a con is getting slotted in for a shift without notice you have to check the master schedule 

Grandview Lodge is a long term care centre. Grandview has taught me to be patient and attentive to the elderly people living there. Interacting with the residents has been a very rewarding and educational experience.

It was a wonderful place to work. We worked as a team. Managers were easily available and knew all residents and staff names in the building. Proactive and good balance with work and life 

Grandview Lodge is a positive place to work. The staff are so kind and are willing to help anyone in need. I loved volunteering here as the patients were always smiling and happy to see me.
