You can't really complain cause you applied for the job, but factory work isn't the dream job. Working in a freezer with just about frozen poultry in your hands makes for a long day. Your break time isn't fair cause it takes you five minutes just to remove your gloves, apron , and other equipment. So when you have fifteen minutes you only have five minutes to have quick snack, a sip of water or a hot beverage, and use the washroom. Now doing all three of those in five minutes is a talent, and not one to really be proud of. Granny's does have a variety of cultures, which gives you the experience to get to now other religions and such. The big reason why people stay at Granny's is because they cant get anythings else for employment or they can't get a better quality of job with the same or similar pay. Every work place has ''cliques'' and if you don't speak their language then you are out for the most part. It can be a very tough crowd to be around if you have some very non traditional beliefs. But is it what is is sadly. Religion always over rules kindness, it creates hate. So being someone like me who doesn't fit in with the ''general'' population should work here, cause you will be insult indirectly or directly. 

It's not for everybody, if it works for you then good for you.

Extremely strict and not very accommodating. The shifts vary, and can run super long on overtime… you are expected to stay even if your 8 hour shifts turns into 12 hours! Breaks are not always given. Washroom breaks are timed and you will be penalized for taking too long (even tho it takes times to undress, walk to washroom, use washroom, wash hands, and redress. You have to do it all in 5 mins or less). Nobody really speaks English and only helps their own ethnicity. It’s very prison-like. If you start up conversation with someone beside you they will purposely separate you even through your efficiently doing your work. You’re always standing, and using the same rapid movements. So prepare to have back issues. It’s good for a couple months to save some cash but I would not use this as a permanent position.

First off... The parking lot is dirt come springtime be prepared to call a tow truck on a semi regular basis to pull you out.
Human resources is primarily concerned with getting employees terminated rather than investigating and solving the problem. 
Dirty work environment...even in the "Clean" areas. Tables in lunch rooms often are found having raw meat stuck to them as employees breaks are not long enough and many of them stay in their smocks to save time getting back on the floor.
Employees are worked like dogs and are expected to do "mandatory overtime"... If you don't want to...you better have a really compelling reason why you can't.
Management/supervisors dating subordinates...and giving them easier tasks....and no discipline as a result.

This company expects you to load chicken in winter at -50 with windchill while you watch the chickens freeze to death while they're getting loaded then you get in trouble for having so many high deads in the trailer. The office doesn't care about the employees they have a "team like environment" yeah it's team driver's vs team office. They don't work with you they work against you. Plus you have to wait a year for your benefits

Now this job was fun and exciting. Got to meet a bunch of people from different backgrounds, the work place was really organized and everyone was treated the same, no drama, always fun but got the work done.

Great company to work for. The supervisors get to know you & are friendly. The HR girls do nice things for the employees & are smiling - they give out ice cream & treats & things.

The pay was decent with good benefits however, the management only cares about themselves. They set you up for failure! Working there is like walking on eggshells!! They eliminated important positions after a merger with Exceldor

While I worked at Granny's, I learned how to work with a team. It was a new experience working together with people from many different cultures. The friends and connections I made during this time were fruitful and encouraging.

Job was not too bad. When I was there was a lot of favouritism. Management was so so. When I was there it was who you knew and if you were a certain gender you got treated better. This was many years ago so I hope it has changed since then.
