Granville Island Brewing

I have since been told several management changes within Molson Coors and GIB have made this place a better place to work. 
However I fail to find any new policies in place to protect LGBTQ staff from homophobia. 
Unfortunately this dampened my time at GIB, as well as the clicky bro club. 
Disappointing to see such a large corporate company still missing the mark when it comes to better policies and structure to protect their employees 

Was an amazing place with amazing people, perfect to start in the process to fit in the Canadian culture, nice managers, nice peers, really good benefits once you are part of the union, free beer, and delicious food cus a biweekly loaded gift card, I would have liked the opportunity to spend more time there but it was just my coop and sadly I had to quit.

A fun and dynamic workplace, but suffers from the imposition of a corporate culture headquartered across the country that has little oversight of day to day operations or the considerations of a different working environment.  Internal promotion is possible, but it will take time or unfortunately will happen without appropriate training or support.

Key members and fantastic employees are completely over shadowed by select team members who treat the workplace as if it is a high school locker room. Constant put downs and harassment under the guise of "jokes". Lack of top down leadership allowed for longer tenured employees to cut corners and always take the path of least resistance resulting in new employees having to carry the work load.

There's no doubt that working in a brewery is fun. People are supportive, creative, easy going, and they're acting more than just a co-worker.

The business volume during my time wasn't that high compared to I used to deal with. Long weekends and summer are definitely the peak for the brewery when people are snaking until the alley behind the building.

Great place to work with great people. The employees at GIB and Creemore are wonderful and helpful. Management however seems to care more about their Corporate culture with Molson than they do about their employees and making sure the retain valuable, hard working people.

Never should have left! Great people and environment! Fast paced but understanding to a home work balance! Free beer is never a bad thing either. Great team building!

Working at GIB is a healthy environment with amazing coworkers. Benefits are a plus and I’ve made great friends here. Easily the best job I’ve ever had. 

A great manager and atmosphere. Short easy shifts with good  tips. The summers are super busy but it’s good fun, the minimum wage should be higher given the owners but other than that it’s a great place

Love the staff. Wish I didnt have to leave but the cost of living in Vancouver is out of control. Moving away from Vancouver because it is impossible to get ahead.
