Stay away from this place. If our customers knew how it was run, they'd run too. 

Management is the weakest I've ever seen in all of my career. Incompetent managers with no vision, leadership, or plan. All leads to uninspired and unmotivated employees, with no faith that things can change for the better. Forced to work on holidays. Bad business decisions made all in the name of revenue recognition, forget the customer or employee. Complete lack of processes and SOPs, Supplier Control is non-existent. There is barely any internal or supplier Quality Management. No wonder so many customers get DOA product. 

A place to go only if you've run out of career options or no longer have the will to develop professionally. But be prepared to close your eyes to what you see and do!

The money is good but everyone is overworked. Management refuses to accept that they need to be more drastic in changes instead of small incremental solutions. Everyone is stressed, advancement opportunities are limited. Raises either don't come or are below inflation. Layoffs and other cuts blindside everyone. Very corporate environment with a lot of do as your told mentality

Terrible culture due to unqualified upper management. Company is run by clowns that promote each other to the top without having the proper skills and expertise to manage anyone. Whoever dares to challenge their nonsense decisions will put their job in jeopardy. All the great leaders left or were fired for no valid reasons. 

The proof is in the pudding. In the past 5 years, the company changed the senior leadership team (CEO, CFO, CTO) SEVERAL TIMES. 

I been working for 10 years on the repair department. The company was Miranda before. When the merge to Grass valley , the production director and  management all ways thing from him self. When you said something is wrong their ignore you. If you complaint too much their fine a reason to fire you.  Corrupted director and manager I learn alot of things but by you self.  But not much support on the repair department.

What is the best part of working at the company?
To be part of a family. Good in quality control.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes they live everything to the last minute.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
In generally speaking acceptable. Treat you mostly properly.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Normally it's a work like environment not too stressful.

Before the merge, Miranda technologies was a very nice place to work but after 2014, it became this very big company with too many managers where it takes forever to get things done. All decisions are taken in the USA although the head office is officially in Montreal. It's another beige place to work and people are just numbers.

Very supportive environment, especially in the embedded software departement. Unfortunately little possibility for permanent postion for junior embedded developper. Flexible work hours, you may under certain circomstances work from home.

Grass Valley is the worst place to work, based on my experience. The top managers are clueless and their leadership is awful. They don't see your work and your achievements. I don't recommend it at all.

Overall nice experience 

Other employees were helpful. Management was at times pushy but understanding. Was able to get any issues with HR resolved quite quickly. Pay and benefits were not the best but heard this has improved since I left.  


The company growth a healthy relationship between employees, however, the salary is low. There is no job security, because of the economics situation there are a lot of lay off in each Quarter.
