You generally work 8-4:30 and help with maintenance tasks for the aircrafts. If there is no work with maintenance tasks then you work to keeping the place clean and organized. Also preparing and putting things together for aircrafts that are to depart for a tour or already have. Management is pretty understanding and are willing to work with you to help in your personal life as well as at work. Everyone there is willing to put in the time and effort to teach and help you as long as you are willing to listen and learn. The Coworkers are great in the aspect of helping as well as joking around at a respectable level where everyone's work is still being performed. The most enjoyable thing for me is to learn new things and to work on the aircrafts day to day.

For a large company they were very nimble. They pretty much had the North West Territory helicopter work to them selves, wrapped up. I could sum it with this story. I was moving  drill in the middle of the night about 200 miles north of Yellowknife. When I got a repeating transmission chip lite. I called Yellowknife, they dispatched a replacement I met it halfway. I was back moving the drill two hours later. It really impressed the customer, but me even more.

Parts inventory was minimal so you rarely got the parts that you needed within a reasonable amount of time.  All components were placed on extension between overhauls even if the machine was at a Hangar/Base.  The balancing equipment was totally outdated and barely worked.  Job security was non existent as they would lay you off as soon as they didn't need you and the retirement plan was again minimal.  Safety is not a priority with management, profit was.  Overall not an ideal company to work for.

If you like travel this is a good place to work. Traveled to many northern locations . Main base is well equipped and spacious. Upper management is pilot orientated and do not truly understand individual AME needs. Rotations can and probably will be extended. Parts can be slow to come to remote locations.

Company is striving to develop and it shows- some teething problems but nothing that's out of the ordinary.  has been a management shift but it seems to be heading in the right direction.

Very little guidance from upper management. Corners should never be cut in the aviation industry, and like most companies, there are some that want to cut those corners.

Great job for low time pilots who don’t mind working hard to get their foot in the door. You must know how to manage a fleet, manage fuel containment’s. Operational gear and all the behind-the-scene work. Travel is sometimes necessary

Enjoyed work for the most part. A management change in late 2012 had some unfortunate effects. Was great while it lasted.

loved the people I worked with but Management is incredibly rude, selfish and forget they were once in the same spot as you.  Pay is low for Yellowknife .

I was only there for 2 months before being laid off due to restructuring. I don't think the same person is CEO anymore either. I don't remember how much I was being paid.
