We would received documents from tenants, having to look for their files then photo copy documents insert in file then give file to appropriate worker.  
-Schedule IRC (Internal Review Committee) appointments for Property Managers on 
a daily basis
-Performed switchboard duties on a multi-line telephone system by redirecting calls appropriate staff
-Process all incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages, distributed mail to appropriate staff. 
-Collect and stamp documents from faxes or tenants and insert in tenants file then distribute file to appropriate address
-Create new folders for new move ins
-Prepare and mail letters for clerks
-Log reports for move out an new move ins in Yardi
-Skilled and knowledgeable about working with people with diverse backgrounds and working within a multi-cultural environment

Hardest part job was being on your feet all day. 
Most enjoyable was interaction with clients.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Worked with some great people, job security and reasonable wage and benefits.  Government pension after 30 years of service.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No significant stressors.  Worked with some great managers who were very supportive of work life balance.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Generally positive, humor and thinking outside of the box is accepted.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Worked from 8:30 to 4:30 with a one hour lunch and two fifteen minute breaks.  All stat holidays and new hires get three weeks of vacation.

As a P/T driver you are on call steady and must be available for shift work, with usually close to full time hours, but there are slow periods during the year.

You must be dedicated to do this job, and you need to know the routes and deal effectively with a wide range of passengers.

Dealing with the passengers was a pleasure, as the people were very diverse, and I became more aware and respectful of cultures and customs. 

Safety is of the utmost importance, not only to the passengers but the general public and other drivers while maintaining a timely schedule.

This job being stationed at the waste water facility was quite interesting. Although another coworker and I got to travel a decent amount to cut grass at other stations (which was rather enjoyable hard work), sometimes we would have to clean and maintain extremely messy pump houses. Messy is an understatement which is why it was probably the hardest part of the job (keeping my lunch in my stomach). The management to be honest was very awkward although I was treated fairly being a student. At this job I learned there are many jobs that some would never dream of doing but someone still has to do them and they are sometimes the most important jobs.

The interview was over the phone, payrate was competitive with other City's It was a challenging gardening environment that gave me experience and first hand learning. The Management were considerate and thoughtful. The level of coworker cooperation was good. Gardeners were at times working independently or together at a variety of jobsites covered by the Horticulture Dept. I feel if they had better quality starter annuals for their gardening needs it would have helped give them a better show in Northern Gardening. Because Gardeners have to apply for their job every year there's no guarantee of same employer.

Seeing that this position is posted on the City's website CONTINUALLY throughout the year (watch for it!), should be a RED FLAG to anyone considering applying.  Management in this department treats their employees with criticism and offers no team environment.  You are not to ask anyone for help, they frown on that!  You are left on your own to work 2 different positions at the same time!  No one speaks to you, not even "Good Morning".  Everyone keeps to themselves with no healthy, positive work environment.  How does HR not see there is a problem here is beyond!  Look at the turnover people!

Environmental Services is the most depressing place in the world to work.  The managers treat people like garbage and seem to think that it is ok.  
A typical day at work is being told how you do everything wrong and being degraded by the managers.  The only thing I learned is how NOT to treat people, the management there is horrible to everyone.  The only light at the end of the tunnel was the other staff, who are just as miserable as everyone else.  The hardest part of the job is dealing with the managers.  I enjoyed dealing with the public and helping people.

Staff is not fairly paid. All staff is dumped with work that is not part of their job duties. There is a high turnover. Barely any training is provided. Favoritism is prevalent. Everyone hates their jobs.

Worked with a great group if people during my time here.  Unfortunately, management did not have a good relationship with staff and it was quite a toxic work environment.  

Very micromanaged, to the point where it seemed like management simply did not trust employees to do their job.  On the job training was also minimal and inconsistent, often you would learn to do something, and then not do it for months and then be thrown on that task and be blamed if it was done incorrectly.  

The management and workplace were very welcoming, we worked as a group in order to take on tasks quicker. The regreening program consisted of planting trees around greater sudbury as well as transplanting vegitation in order to add biodiversity to sudbury. I also did water sampleing in the lakes around greater sudbury as well as checked for blue green algae blooms in the water.
