My sister used to own a vegan bakery called The Cupcake Tree. It was based out of the kitchen of our own home, but because of its specific target market, business was booming. I would help with designing complex cakes and cupcakes. For example, I would build solid foundations for some of the more complex looking cakes from scratch. I would also deliver a lot of the orders to places like Mississauga.

Working alongside my sister made the job very enjoyable. We would joe around together and have fun constructing and designing beautiful looking cakes and cupcakes.

The hardest part of the job was when some of the materials wouldn't cooperate with the some of the structures we were building.

A typical day at work would consist of maintenance hour in the morning before opening the pool. Then maintaining the pool and assisting any individuals and greeting them as they swam. Every hour there would be a pH balance and chlorine check completed. The hardest part of the job consisted of vacuuming the pool as I was not used to it. However, through practice and my love for learning new things I was able to overcome this obstacle. The most enjoyable part of this job was the atmosphere present in the pools I was assigned to. Lifeguarding is very rewarding as I was able to see families, elders and adults enjoy their time while being kept safe.

Working for Kognitive Marketing gives the employee great experiences in working with customers as well as a team member. The job is centered around working with customers and you learn very quickly the appropriate ways to communicate. The environment is very professional and you gain knowledge of how to act in a professional setting.

This job required me to go to various Canadian Tire Stores and promote the store credit cards.  I learned a lot about interacting and dealing with customers.  My supervisor was extremely understanding and fair in regards to scheduling conflicts.  The hardest part of the job was enticing customers after mentioning a credit card.  However, this job allowed me to interact with customers a lot which is something I enjoy doing.

This job was great because I got to work with special needs students. I enjoyed brightening their day. When I got this job, they didn't do direct deposit so I always had to go and pick up my pay check. That was a real inconvenience. Hopefully that has changed.

I learned so much for working for the Reitman's Co. They're a very family oriented company, and will accommodate any employee that is willing to do the work for them.

It was my first "real" sales position. The company was fun to work for, amazing people, earned great money fresh out of college.

Couldn't have worked at a better place, the people care about you and are flexible with your time. They give you opportunities like no other place I have worked at before.
