Green Team

I came to work at different time depending whether if it was a day or night shift. I sign in to keep track of my  hours and I begin to do my job fro the day. It is a very fun environment as it is a ice carving festival. It was a very different environment to normal workplace environments, but I still learned a lot about time managing and dealing with different types of customers and stressful situations. I enjoyed the conversing and communicating with the people the most and what I enjoyed least was probably the weather, it was extremely cold and most of my work was done outside in the night time.

Firstly, we would start off by picking up garbage around the community, then we would be split into groups, go to each house to cut their grass and clean their yard. Then we would throw out all their garbage and go to the next house, some of us would also have to work at the band office as a front desk receptionist, where we would answer phone calls and take messages. Other times we would be working around the school, the store and around the churches, cutting grass and making the community look more beautiful.

The school was divided into sections and each section was assigned two teams, one for papers, one for bottles. Sections were first come first serve but they were designed to be as close to equal as possible so it doesn't really matter which you get.

This job allowed for great freedom in the manner in which I could interact with our youths. Our activities range from arts to sports with healthy dose of community outreach included. Field trips were also a large part of curriculum. These were paid for by fundraisers we organized with our youths which I believed helped them to learn the value of a dollar along with the value of a job well done.

Long days, especially since it's outside work but worth it in the end. Offer jobs to come back to after term work is done. Co-workers educate you on things to improve or learn. Great place. Upper management could use some work

it was a volunteer job so i liked that i was able to help out and just provide what was needed i liked the amount of kindness there was given working with the volunteers and how it wasnt shown as a volunteer work it was fun and i would do it again

As I said earlier about my little job experiences, it was hard finding jobs in a reserve that barely had jobs provided for our community. But as soon as I heard that there was volunteer work I was there asking for the job and willing to put my time into it.

I enjoyed waking up early everyday and going to work because I was always looking forward to work with my fellow employees. The people were fun and I loved the environment I was in.

It was a good job that required a lot of labor that I didn't mind doing because I was outside. I would work there again if I could, but I already did. Some one else needs to experience this.

It was alot of outside work. We beautified the area of northend in winnipeg. My co-workers were excellent, and my boss was easy to work with. The hardest part of the job was nothing, i enjoyed it.
