Working at Greenhouse is like being in an abusive relationship.  You are expected to go above and beyond for the company, give everything you have and the company just keeps on taking. Once they are done with you they throw you out like you don't mater. You will constantly hear management say how we need to work as a team and how communication is important. However, nothing is ever communicated to staff, head office has retail meetings without the heads of the retail team. There is nothing like hearing someone go "oh I cant meet tomorrow as I have a retail meeting!" knowing that the head of retail are not going to be there.  Decisions are made about stores by people who have never worked in our stores. As a company, it wonders why it is not able to retain staff that is because the staff is treated like garbage. You are to acquire the best staff? How about getting to know the people that you have and work with their strengths instead of constantly getting new shiny toys and just forgetting about the old ones. Tips: Stop using your store managers as glorified shopkeepers, actually learn how your stores operate before making drastic changes to them, learn the names of your staff and follow your own advice and actually communicate with everyone.

They pride themselves on family which is a terrible work culture and if they find out you aren’t 100% committed to their organic, vegan culture and willing to put everything you have into it, then they will forcibly remove you from their team. 

The stores themselves are dirty and not well kept; there are many mouse traps across the stores and their juices and smoothies are kept outside for long periods of time. Shifts are flexible but they prefer full time workers who prefer to do that for minimum wage so if that sounds like you then you know where to go. 

Work here isn’t stable, when I was working there I found out from a veteran employee that over 20 people have left us the past year which is a horrible turnover with employees as there shops only have about 5-8 employees each. You will hate your manager as they are unprofessional and are only there to advance their career. They do not care about you and it is all business with this company and that is only what matters to them. Remember if you work for them that you are disposable.


In short if you value yourself and your well-being, DO NOT WORK HERE.

I could write an essay on everything that made working here a struggle bus, but I'm simply glad I am no longer working here.

Its a HIGHLY TOXIC environment, in which you are expected to commit your entire life to otherwise you are deemed an unloyal, lazy employee that doesn't care about the team.
- Expect to receive phone calls from from your manager at 2am
- owners who will not acknowledge your existence unless they need you to blend a smoothie
-- Questionable Promotions without increased pay
-- A general lack of communication, respect for employees and boundaries.
-- Lack of support in ones hired role
-- expected to work over time when ever they are in dire straits (which is most of the time) but we "don't pay overtime because its your responsibility to manage your time".
-- gaslighting

The owners are out of touch with any reality that exists outside their bubble, which is why your company will consistently have a high turn over.

A place where you can learn, wear many hats and make great impact, as long as you have the mindset of startups and ready to be hands on and proactive. The efforts are worth it when we see the results and feel that the company is working on hiring more people as we grow.

I feel proud to work for a company that values customers, employees, is committed to making high quality, nutritious and safe products, and cares for the environment.

Greenhouse, despite being 5 years old, is ridiculously messy and unbalanced. You’ll find yourself doing much more than what youre being paid. Turn over rate is ridiculous and long hours with difficult customers (who throw the owners name around like it’s a badge) and you’ll get essentially ZERO recognition for hard work. Co-workers do the bare minimum and standards as far as consistency and communication are comical. Founders have no idea what’s happening on the retail level and an overall huge disconnect from company despite the image they project. Huge emphasis on Product knowledge with no formal training then you’re reprimanded for not knowing something. Don’t apply here if you want to maintain a work/life balance and remain unbothered by this mess of a business.

Greenhouse is a purpose-driven company with a great team and a lot of momentum. A typical day is fast-paced and hands-on. there’s a lot of trust, so you get to take real ownership. I’ve learned a ton about building in a growth-stage environment and working with people who genuinely care.

The culture is positive, collaborative, and grounded in strong values. There’s real room for career growth if you’re proactive and ready to take on new challenges. The pace can be intense at times, but it’s also energizing and rewarding. The best part is getting to work with smart, kind people on something that matters.

There is a lot to say but I'll be succinct.

Greenhouse Juice Co. is a distressing, uncomfortable, and toxic environment. There is no structure, a very high turnover rate, communication and transparency are a myth, and the leadership is tenuous at best. Feedback and suggestions are ignored, and hardwork is consistently met with gauche criticism. The behaviours and actions of this establishment can be compared to that of leeches. 
Suffice it to say, my last day was my absolute favourite.

Greenhouse is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up and create a lasting impact. Everyone truly believes in the product and wants to see the company grow. Work is engaging and you create valuable hands-on experiences you may not see in a bigger company. It's a great place to start your career as you are exposed to all areas of your department and can see how your role contributes to the greater business. 

If you're looking for a lot of structure, it might not be for you. Roles require a solution-oriented outlook as the culture is dynamic and brings challenges like many high growth companies. 

-Nothing , for me everyday are the same

- For newly hired employees, management should assigned someone to give her/him introduction about the company, what we produce, where do we use this and that and so on. All the SKU`s that we purchased should be shown to the newly hired person. A short tour to the plant should be implemented.

-Management should have a good communication skill.

-Approving invoices from the past that you can`t even  get a proof of deliveries

-I love challenges, I was really challenge with this job and I`m enjoying it.

Management is clueless about how to actually manage, fake and sometimes gaslighting. You can go above and beyond and then be fired anyway, I'm not the only one with that story. Their processes make no sense and it's your fault you can't make sense of them. Highest turnover I've ever seen. You will be blamed for not doing things management should be doing. Best part of this job was the customers. some actually warning me and recommending other places to apply for jobs, God bless them. Should have trusted my gut it feels off from day 1.
