The company runs on refferals. They Hire friends and family for every available managment position and for interviewers. Thus overlooking, the long worked and qualified veteran employees. The supervisors and SME'S are often uneducated or lack the pratical hands on experience needed to be a sucessful team leader. The job can literally be obtained based on who they know in the company and not their pratical skills or experiences. If your good at making friends fast.....

It can be both be easy and tough depending on what time of Market research you are doing that day. None of the studies offer incentives and the harder studies are comparable to a sales job.

Although it can strongly build your personal and interpersonal skills, this job offers no rewards, no advancement with the ranks or positions and constantly trys to removeyour entitlement for raises and promotions. Dedication and hard work do not run this company instead a social ranked system that relies on nepotism. So despite the amount of times they have other apply, they are the token group of people that allow the individuals in charge the chance to say they looked externally. They are afraid of what a careerd and educated individual may threaten their job security with.

Lastly the excutives within the company, either do not care or lack the realistic feedback required for sucessful operational efficency and therefore loose many solid workers and money. For a market research firm they have no Internal common sense or team building skills.

A typical day at work would be to get as many surveys as possible from customers. I learned to refine my communication skills, develop my listening abilities, interactive talent and co-operate efficiently with my supervisors/co-workers to maximize my productivity at work. The hardest part of my job was to connect with customers on the phone and I have successfully mastered the necessary skills to create this connection. I have become one of the best representatives at Greenwich Associates over a few months after I started working there. The most enjoyable part of my job is having been able to help customers through their complaints and struggles with their respective financial institutions by transmitting their comments to customer service representatives at their bank or by typing all their comments and just lending them an ear as to show that someone cares about or wants to listen to their issues.

I was a customer experience representative for about a year at Greenwich, basically I would do surveys 5 pm to 10:30. I developed my social skills, my job demanded that I fill out at least 15 surveys per day, so I would have to convince people to stay on the phone when lets face it, nobody likes doing surveys. I learned to pay attention to detail when speaking to others, our job was to probe for information while trying to keep each call short as well. It was a fun environment because everybody there is doing the same thing you are so everyone is very social. The hardest part of the job was getting used to eating dinner at 8 pm and going to sleep at around 11, and then going to college the next morning.

And finally its a fun place to work (equip with the latest social interactive software) allowing all its employees, even from different locations to interact!

A typical day at work for me, would be going in talking to my managers and co-workers before shift starts. It has a comfortable atmosphere. What i learned is that if we try our best in doing the job right, at the end of the day we will have fun. All of my managers are really friendly at my work and they are easy to talk to and get along with. I get along easily with my co-workers and i make friends with them. There is no hardest part of the job, except the hours. The most enjoyable part of the job is working friendly managers and co-workers, which makes it an enjoyable experience for me.

Software used by hundreds of employees is ill-adapted and lacks many features for integration. Little to no directive/ investing to palliate this need.

Middle management is highly experienced, however are expected to figure everything out.

At my desk, I try to productively to obtain clients feedback on customer service. Our managers do their best to coordinate the tasks working through our computerized system which shuts down once in a while. The hardest part of the job would be to the pronunciation of some of the names of the clients over the phone. The most enjoyable part of the job are being with my co-workers all very open minded and cultivated.

I worked at the Scarborough location for awhile.

Low pay, high stress, management take themselves way too seriously and treat employees like slaves.

Typical day: you sit at a cubicle and call customers and try to get them to do surveys.

Don't take this job if you don't need the money that badly; there's no room for growth or benefits of any kind. It's one of the worst jobs you could subject yourself to. It feels like punishment.
