Even though I only worked for this company in the span of 2 months, I definitely enjoyed working there. It was only summer training for students and depending on what grade you were in, would decide how many days per week you would work. The hours were really long and your breaks were spread throughout the whole day which is a good thing. 1 break in the morning, a lunch break, and another one in the afternoon. My overall experience was really good. I did find it pretty boring how you weren't allowed to talk to one another while working. It was really quiet. They also didn't allow us to listen to the radio/music while in the packaging room as they felt it would cause us to make mistakes. It's a hard working environment. You move around a lot from warehouse to warehouse. It gets pretty easy to get lost if you don't know your way around just yet. The lunch program is really nice too. You would fill out your information on a paper and which stuff you took as well and then put it in the basket. They would then charged you at the end of the month for everything you bought. So if you don't have money on you at that very moment, you can still have a lunch if you didn't bring on from home. It's a very good and growing company to work for.

You're forced to use holiday time if you're sick because it's too much work for payroll apparently- very underhanded that they don't tell you this until you're sick, wans't told this either during my training. Very disappointed how people working here poach for new blood by essentially lying to them about all the awesome benefits and perks that come with working for greggs and their referral program. Very cult-like and uncomfortable. It's a good place if you need to put food on the table, but it's not what's it seems prepare for absolute dissonance and its worse than a government job where nobody takes responsibility and hides behind a fake smile. 80% of people working there are great, but they try too hard to involve you in company after hours activities and the policies are not conducive to a healthy work life balance. They have 0 trust in you, know that going in. The high turnover should be the big red flag. The pay is very good for the time, but prepare to give them your soul 

Nothing but stress working at this job . They take away your productivity bonus if u get 25 demerits which gives u no incentive to do good , u instantly get fired if u damage anything , you don't get any breaks if it's busy , and they don't pay you for missing your breaks , the staff has major drama going around the warehouse daily its always something new everyday , people act like they are your friend there but meanwhile while throw you under the bus to the management, they like to fire people for no reason and not give severance pay when it's due , there truly is nothing to like about Gregg's even their prices on their products are a ripoff compared to all the other industrial companies our there.i did not enjoy my time being there because I was always full of stress worrying if I might do even the smallest thing wrong . 

When I first started you can tell somethings off. Morale is low. You will be expected to confirm to a rigid no talk only drink from a clear bottle with water (they do checks). Moral is bad and everyone is against everyone. You must walk thru management to use the bathroom so they can see. They embarrass you and will pat you down and search your stuff when you leave like a jail and it feels like it. The ones left there are easily controlled so not think for themselves. No one is happy and make sure you don’t laugh. It’s also really outdated. You are not allowed access to the internet at your computer there’s one that is shared where you have to print your emails and file them in a binder. If you take time off it’s used against you. Save yourself

If you work inside the building, there are a lot of rules to follow but if you do your job, you will be rewarded. There is a process and procedure for everything and it is a well oiled machine. At times it can be nit-picking, but as I said before, do your job... There are bonuses at times for no reason at all, production bonuses, milestone bonus, investment opportunities, investment payouts, bonus vacation days, very healthy starting vacation allowance (to be accrued)... all in all, I wouldn't have left the company if I wasn't leaving the province.

this job isn't for everyone, the technology was outdated and it felt as if they wanted management and staff to be separate, i was honestly confused as i felt i was doing a good job up until they let me go. 

i hold no malice or anger at them this is purely business and there choice in how to go forward. i feel that they will struggle in the future with staff as the young don't favor the ideals of Pure Capitalism as they do.

The location I was at is slower than the pace I'm used to, struggled to find things to do on a day to day basis but godforbid you sit down for more than 2 minutes. Training was minimal, pretty much didn't get told how to do something until I either screwed it up or right in that moment when I needed to know how to do it and the customer was right in front of you waiting.  Policies are little outlandish, you can not leave the building on your 15 minute break even if you are a smoker or just want some fresh air you can not set foot out the door on 15 minute breaks.

Really love the company takes awhile to get used to and the staff is all friendly and the pay is nice i would totally tell people to join this company

Trying to get all the items right since sometimes people mix them up

Very friendly and nice place in general to work

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start at 8am pick orders for customers do that till 5pm

Greggs is not a very fun place to work. If you can shut off your brain and drink the koolaid they force upon you then you will do alright. They expect you to donate your time with unpaid over time. You will be reprimanded for going to the washroom too close to a regular mandatory break. If you miss a designated break time you cannot take a break at all. This place is like walking on egg-shells all day, the managers freak out on people and humiliate them in front of others for simple things.
