A typical day at work would be to take and make several phone calls both internally and externally, working off several spreadsheets and working with learners in order to get all the information on the system complete and correct. 

The management was excellent, if you needed some sort of guidance or pointing in the right direction, it would always be there for you.

The people I have worked with over the past two years have been incredible, it's been really hard leaving a job where you have made so many friends in. 

The hardest part of the job would be to make sure all your learners are up to date with sending work in on time and having to get them all finished by a certain date. 

I think the most enjoyable thing was to walk in every morning and know exactly what you want to achieve by the time you walk out the door at 5pm. You know exactly where you are with your own learners and it's a sense of accomplishment.

Started at the College in 1992 as an Administration Clerk.

Changed job roles in 2003 to become a Senior Administrator.

A change in Principal / management / government / funding in 2010 resulted in four changes of General Manager, three office moves (non-consulted) two restructures (one by an external consultant), a 10% pay cut and finally a redundancy, all in the space of four years.

Have worked at the College for 22 years - I started when it was a prestigious local organisation, now it is just a joke.

Colleagues generally VERY good, management weaker than any I’ve ever seen.
Place is ran on a shoe string.
Finance director runs the place, has no operational clue.
Staff leave and none can be recruited due to wages, so courses will not run.
Downward spiral.
HR are generally either clueless or hamstrung, can’t decide which! 
Place is falling apart, too busy grabbing funding for new stuff than maintaining what they have.

working as part of a team on the course really improved my leadership, team building and communication skills.
it gave me many opportunities on field trips outside the college as well as inside the college. there is a wide range of opportunities to meet new people in the college and from other colleges. and there are also new qualification to gain from within the course as part of different courses.

A typical day would be cleaning out animal cages and pens, and walking the dogs morning and noon.
I learnt how to health check animals correctly and in a safe manner.
Co-workers were very friendly and easy to get along with.

There was no hard part of this job so to speak, but the most enjoyable part was being able to play and handle the animals.

There is a lot of uncertainty of job security. Some days learners can be challenging but overall the job is rewarding as you are supporting learners to achieve in their chosen course. Co-workers are supportive and very friendly. The most enjoyable part of the job is when the learners you support receive their qualification.

my review on this is that when i was at college i did a workplacemwent in childcare i worked in a pre school for 2 weeks and i really enjoyed it i meet some lovely children and also i meet some lovely staff what help me get along with the placement i felt like i actually worked there all the time.

The football side of things were very enjoyable and it has been a great experiance working here . The people i work with are very helpful .I dealt  with organising fixtures foir all the boys teams and the girls also taking the boys training and matches . Been the trip leader on summer trips to Spain .

great work life / home life balance, flexible with working hours as long as the work was done. 
each department of the college is run different and that is felt which is a pro and con at the same time.

Given to much work and not enough time. Expected to take work home to plan prepare and grade. Management poor and not organised. Plans are often changed at the last minute resulting in stressful working environment
